Waterproof

This radio is waterproof to IP-67 standards. It will withstand submersion under up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

The radio is resistant to water, rain, and splashes only when the battery cover and headset accessory port are sealed. Open the battery compartment door or headset port cover only when the radio is dry. Use of a headset accessory should be in dry environments only.

The charging base and AC adaptor are not waterproof. Do not expose the charger to rain or snow. Charge the radios only in a dry location. Do not place wet radios into the charging base.

WARNING: This radio floats with the included NiMH battery

(800mAh). It may not float with other batteries.

Installing the Batteries

Each radio can either use a 1 NiMH rechargeable battery pack or 3 units of AA Alkaline Battery, and beeps when the batteries are low.

Installing the NiMH Rechargeable Battery Pack

1. Make sure your radio is turned OFF.

2. With the back of the radio facing you, loosen the retaining screw on the battery door and open the cover.

3. Remove the NiMH battery pack from the clear plastic bag

(do not disassemble or unwrap the battery pack).

4. Insert the NiMH battery pack with the diagram facing you.

(The ribbon should be underneath the battery pack and should wrap around the right side of the pack for easy removal).

5. Close the battery cover and tighten the retaining screw on the battery door.

Installing the Three AA Alkaline Batteries

1. Make sure your radio is turned OFF.

2. With the back of the radio facing you, lift the battery cover latch up and remove the cover.

3. Insert the three AA Alkaline batteries with (+) and (-) polarity as shown inside. (The ribbon should be underneath the AA alkaline batteries and wrap around the right side of the batteries).

4.

Close the battery cover and tighten the retaining screw on the battery cover .

Removing the Batteries

Removing the NiMH Battery Pack

1. Make sure your radio is turned OFF.

2. With the back of the radio facing you, loosen the retaining screw on the battery door and open the cover.

3. Remove the NiMH battery pack by pulling the ribbon.

4. Close the battery cover and tighten the retaining screw on the battery door.

Removing the Three AA Alkaline Batteries

1. Make sure your radio is turned OFF.

2. With the back of the radio facing you, loosen the retaining screw on the battery door and open the cover.

3. Gently remove each alkaline battery by easing each battery out individually.

4. Close the battery cover and tighten the retaining screw on the battery door.

Note: Exercise care when removing NiMH or AA batteries.

Do not use sharp or conductive tools to remove either of these batteries.

Remove the batteries before storing your radio for an extended period of time. Batteries corrode over time and may cause permanent damage to your radio.

Radio Battery Meter

The Radio Battery icon shows the battery charge level from full

to empty . When the radio has one segment left, the radio chirps periodically or after releasing the PPT button

(Low Battery Alert).

Battery Capacity Maintenance

1. Charge the NiMH batteries once every three months when not in use.

2. Remove the battery from the radio after using for storage purposes.

3. Store the NiMH batteries in a temperature between -20 °C to

35 °C and in low humidity. Avoid damp conditions and corrosive materials.

Using the Micro-USB Charger

The micro-USB charger is a handy port that allows you to conveniently charge your NiMH battery pack.

1. Make sure your radio is turned OFF

2. Plug the micro-USB cable into the micro-USB charging port on your radio. Connect the other end of the micro-USB charger to wall power outlet.

3. An empty battery will be fully charged in eight hours.

4. The battery meter bar will move when the battery is charging.

Note: It is recommended to power OFF your radio while charging. However, if power is ON while charging, you may not be able to transmit a message if the battery is completely empty. Allow time for the battery to charge to one bar before attempting to transmit a message.

When moving between hot and cold temperatures, do not charge the NiMH battery pack until the temperature acclimates (usually about twenty minutes).

For optimal battery life, remove the radio from the charger within sixteen hours. Do not store the radio while connected to the charger.

Attaching and Removing the Belt Clip

1. Attach the belt clip to the TLKR plate at the back of the radio until the clip clicks in place.

2. Attach the belt clip to pocket or belt strap until the clip clicks in place.

To Remove

1. Push the release tab on top of the belt clip to release the latch.

2. Pull the belt clip away from the back of the radio.

Turning your Radio On and Off

Press and hold the Power button to turn the radio ON or

OFF.

1. In the ON position, the radio chirps and briefly shows all feature icons available on the radio.

2. The display screen then shows the current channel, code and all features that are enabled.

Setting the Volume

From Standby Mode, press on either or to show the current value. Press or again to adjust the volume setting.

1. Press to increase the speaker volume.

2. Press to decrease the speaker volume.

Do not hold the radio close to your ear. If the volume is set to an uncomfortable level, it could hurt your ear.

Adjust ‘0’ to mute the speaker.

TALKING AND LISTENING

All radios in your group must be set to the same channel and

Interference Eliminator Code in order to communicate.

1. Hold your radio 5–8 cm from your mouth.

2. Press and hold the PTT button while speaking. The Transmit icon appears on the display.

3. Release the PTT button. You can now receive incoming calls. When you do, the Receive icon appears on the display.

For maximum clarity, hold the radio two to three inches away and avoid covering the microphone while talking.

Talk Range

Your radio is designed to maximize performance and improve transmission range. Do not use the radios closer than five feet apart.

Monitor Button

Pressing and holding Scan/Monitor button three seconds allows you to listen to the volume level of the radio when you are not receiving. This allows you to adjust the volume, if necessary. You can also press Scan/Monitor button to check the activity on your current channel before you talk.

Push-to-Talk Time-out Timer

To prevent accidental transmissions and save battery life, the radio emits a continuous warning tone and stops transmitting if you press the PTT button for sixty seconds continuously.

Selecting the Channel

Your radio has eight channels. The channel is the frequency the radio uses to transmit.

1. With the radio ON, press Menu button until the channel number starts to flash.

2. Press or to change the channel. Long press on these keys allows you to scroll through the channels rapidly to browse the codes.

3. Press PTT button to exit menu or Menu button to continue set up.

Selecting the Interference Eliminator Code

Interference Eliminator Codes help minimize interference by blocking transmissions from unknown sources. Your radio has

121 Interference Eliminator Codes.

To set the code for a channel:

1. Press Menu button twice until the code “9” starts to flash.

2. Press or to select the code. You can press or hold to speed up scrolling through the codes.

3. Press the PTT button to exit menu or Menu button to continue set up.

Setting and Transmitting Call Tones

Your radio can transmit different call tones to other radios in your group so you can alert them that you want to talk. Your radio has 20 call tones for you to choose from.

To set a call tone:

1. Press Menu button three times until Call Tone icon appears. The current call tone setting will flash.

2. Press or to change and listen to the call tone.

3. Press the PTT button to exit menu or Menu button to continue set up.

In order to transmit your call tone to other radios, set up the same channel and Interference Eliminator Code on your radio and press Call Tone button.

Voice Operated Transmission

Transmission is initiated by speaking into the microphone of the radio instead of pushing the PTT button.

1. Press Menu button 4 times until icon appears on the display. The current setting (L1-L3) will flash.

2. Press or to select the sensitivity level.

3. Press the PTT button to exit menu or Menu button to continue set up.

L3 = High Sensitivity for quiet environments

L2 = Medium Sensitivity for most environments

L1 = Low Sensitivity for noisy environments

Note: There is a short delay between the time you start talking and when the radio transmits.

Dual Channel Monitor

Enables you to scan the current channel and another channel alternately.

To set another channel and start Dual Channel:

1. Press Menu button 5 times until the Dual Channel

icon appears. The Dual Channel will flash.

2. Press or to select the channel then press Menu button.

3. Press or to select the Interference Eliminator Code.

4. Press the PTT button to exit menu or Menu button to continue set up.

5. The radio starts to Dual Channel.

Note: If you set the same channel and code as the current channel, Dual Channel Monitor OFF.

Silent Mode (Vibrate Alert)

Silent Mode (Vibrate Alert) notifies you that your radio is receiving a message. This is useful in noisy environments.

When the alert is on, the radio vibrates once every 30 seconds when you receive a message on the channel and code you set.

1. Press Menu button 7 times until Vibracall icon is displayed. The current setting will flash.

2. Press or to change the setting to On/Off.

3. Press the PTT button to exit menu or continue set up.

You may enable or disable the speaker key tones. You will hear the key tone each time a button is pushed.

1. Press Menu button 8 times until Keypad Tone icon appears. The current setting On/Off will flash.

2. Press either or to turn On/Off.

3. Press the PTT button to confirm or Menu button to continue set up.

Note: The following are not disabled when the key tone feature is OFF:

•Transmit time-out alert tone

•Call tone

•Low battery alert tone or

•The transmitted talk confirmation tone

Transmitting a Talk Confirmation Tone

You can set your radio to transmit a unique tone when you finish transmitting. It is like saying “Roger” or “Over” to let others know you have finished talking.

1. Press Menu button 9 times until the Roger Tone icon appears. The current setting On/Off flashes.

2. Press or to turn On or Off.

3. Press the PTT button to set or set up.

Emergency Alert Mode

The Emergency Alert feature can be used to signal members in your group of your need for urgent help. T92 H2O radios will operate in an automatic “hands- free” emergency control mode for a total of 30 seconds after activating the Emergency Alert.

T92 H2O radios in your group will automatically advance the speaker volume to the maximum setting and sound a warbling alert tone for 8 seconds. The alert tone is emitted from your own radio speaker and the receiving radios in your group. After the 8 second alert, any spoken words or incidental sounds at your end will be transmitted to the group for 22 seconds. For the 30 second duration of Emergency Alert mode, T92 H2O radio controls and buttons will be locked to maximize reception of the emergency message.

1. Press and hold the Emergency Alert button for 3 seconds.

2. Release the button and the alert tone begin to sound. At the same time, it activates RED LED flash. There is no need to continue to hold the Emergency Alert button or use PTT for your message to be transmitted.

WARNING: The Emergency Alert feature should only be used in the even of an actual emergency. Motorola

Solutions is not responsible if there is no response to the emergency alert from the receiving group.

Built-in Flashlight

Press the Flashlight button to cycle between OFF, RED Light,

WHITE Light and then back to OFF again.

The Flashlight will turn off when you press the Flashlight button if the RED Light is left on for more than 3 seconds.

The Flashlight will turn off automatically after 30 minutes of nonactivity if the battery level is below 50%.

Note: Turn off the flashlight when not in use to conserve battery power .

Keypad Lock

To avoid accidentally changing your radio settings:

1. Press and hold Menu button until Key Lock Indicator icon displays.

2. You can turn the radio ON and OFF, adjust the volume, receive, transmit, and monitor channels when in the lock mode. All other functions remain locked.

3. Press Menu button and hold until Key Lock Indicator is no longer displayed to unlock the radio.

Scanning

Use the scan function to do the following:

• Search the 8 channels for transmissions from unknown parties.

• Find someone in your group who has accidentally changed channels or

• To quickly find unused channels for your own use.

There is a priority feature and 2 modes of scanning (basic and advanced) to make your search more effective.

• The “Basic Scan” mode uses the channel and code combinations for each of the 8 channels as you have set them (or with the default code value of 1).

• The “Advance Scan” mode will scan all channels for any and all codes; detect any code in use and use that code value temporary for that channel.

• Priority is given to the “Home Channel” (i.e. the channel and

Interference Eliminator Code your radio is set to when you start the scan). This means the initial channel (and code settings) is scanned more often than the other 7 channels and your radio will respond quickly to any activity occurring on the home channel as a priority.

To start Basic Scanning:

1. Press the key briefly. The Scan icon will appear in the display and the radio will begin to scroll through the channel and code combinations.

2. When the radio detects channel activities matching the channel and code combination, the radio will stop scrolling and you can hear the transmission.

3. Press the PTT button within five minutes after the end of the transmission to respond and talk to the person transmitting.

4. The radio will resume scrolling through the channels five seconds after the end of any received activity.

5. Press the Scan/Monitor button briefly to stop scanning.

To start Advanced Scanning:

To set another channel and start Dual Channel Monitor:

1. Press the Scan/Monitor button briefly. The Scan icon will appear in the display and the radio will begin to scroll through the channels. No Interference Eliminator

Codes will filter what is heard.

2. When the radio detects channel activities with ANY code (or

NO code), it stops scrolling and you can hear the transmission. Any Interference Eliminator Code that may be use by other party will be detected and displayed.

3. When you respond and talk to the person transmitting, press the PTT button within five seconds after the end of the transmission.

4. The radio will resume scrolling through the channels five seconds after the end of any received activity.

5. Press the Scan/Monitor button briefly to stop scanning.

Scanning Notes:

1. The transmission will be on the “Home Channel” if you press the PTT button while the radio is scrolling through inactive channels. You may press the Scan/Monitor button to stop scanning at any time.

2. You may immediately resume the scan by briefly pressing the or if the radio stops on an undesired transmission.

3. You may temporarily remove that channel from the scan list by pressing and holding or for three seconds if the radio stops repeatedly on an undesired transmission. You may remove more than one channel this way.

4. Turn the radio OFF and then turn back ON, or EXIT and reenter the scanning mode by pressing Scan/Monitor button to restore and remove channel(s) to the scan list.

5. You cannot remove the “Home Channel” from the scan list.

6. In the Advanced Scan, the detected code will only be used for one transmission. You must take note of that code, exit scan and set the detected code on that channel to permanently use the detected code.

Water Sensor

When the radio comes in contact with water, the WHITE LED will begin flashing until the battery is dead. Press the Flashlight button to turn off the flashing LED.

Warranty Information

The authorized Motorola dealer or retailer where you purchased your Motorola two-way radio and/or original accessories will honour a warranty claim and/or provide warranty service.

Please return your radio to your dealer or retailer to claim your warranty service. Do not return your radio to Motorola.

In order to be eligible to receive warranty service, you must present your receipt of purchase or a comparable substitute proof of purchase bearing the date of purchase. The two-way radio should also clearly display the serial number. The warranty will not apply if the type or serial numbers on the product have been altered, deleted, removed, or made illegible.

What Is Not Covered By The Warranty

• Defects or damage resulting from use of the Product in other than its normal and customary manner or by not following the instructions in this user manual.

• Defects or damage from misuse, accident or neglect.

• Defects of damage from improper testing, operation, maintenance, adjustment, or any alteration or modification of any kind.

• Breakage or damage to aerials unless caused directly by defects in material or workmanship.

• Products disassembled or repaired in such a manner as to adversely affect performance or prevent adequate inspection and testing to verify any warranty claim.

Waterdicht

Deze portofoon is waterdicht tot IP67-normen. Bestand tegen onderdompeling onder water tot een diepte van maximaal 1 meter, gedurende maximaal 30 minuten. De portofoon is alleen beschermd tegen water, regen en spatwater als de accuklep en de accessoirepoort van de headset zijn afgedicht. Open de klep van de accuhouder of de klep van de accessoirepoort voor de headset alleen als de portofoon droog is. Gebruik de headset alleen in een droge omgeving.

Het oplaadstation en de wisselstroomadapter zijn niet waterdicht. Stel de oplader niet bloot aan regen of sneeuw.

Laad de portofoons alleen op in een droge omgeving. Plaats geen natte portofoons in het oplaadstation.

WAARSCHUWING: Met het meegeleverde NiMH-accupak

(800 mAh) blijft deze portofoon drijven. Met andere batterijen blijft hij mogelijk niet drijven.

De accu's plaatsen

De portofoons werken met 1 oplaadbaar NiMH-accupak of met

3 AA-alkalinebatterijen. Wanneer de batterijen bijna leeg zijn klinkt er een pieptoon.

Het oplaadbare NiMH-accupak plaatsen

1. Zet de portofoon uit.

2. Met de achterzijde van de portofoon naar u toe gericht draait u de borgschroef op de batterijklep los. Vervolgens opent u de klep.

3. Verwijder het NiMH-accupak uit het doorzichtige plastic zakje.

Haal het accupak niet uit elkaar en verwijder de wikkel niet.

4. Plaats het NiMH-accupak met het diagram naar u toe gericht. Plaats het lint onder het accupak en laat het onder de rechterkant van het accupak uitkomen om het eenvoudig te kunnen verwijderen.

5. Sluit de batterijklep en draai de borgschroef weer vast.

De drie AA-alkalinebatterijen plaatsen

1. Zet de portofoon uit.

2. Met de achterzijde van de portofoon naar u toe gericht tilt u de vergrendeling van de batterijklep op. Vervolgens verwijdert u de klep.

3. Plaats de drie AA-alkalinebatterijen met de (+) en (-) polen zoals aangegeven in de portofoon. Plaats het lint onder de

AA-alkalinebatterijen en laat het onder de rechterkant van de batterijen uitkomen.

4. Sluit de batterijklep en draai de borgschroef weer vast.

Het NiMH-accupak verwijderen

1. Zet de portofoon uit.

2. Met de achterzijde van de portofoon naar u toe gericht draait u de borgschroef op de batterijklep los. Vervolgens opent u de klep.

3. Verwijder het NiMH-accupak door aan het lint te trekken.

4. Sluit de batterijklep en draai de borgschroef weer vast.

De drie AA-alkalinebatterijen verwijderen

1. Zet de portofoon uit.

2. Met de achterzijde van de portofoon naar u toe gericht draait u de borgschroef op de batterijklep los. Vervolgens opent u de klep.

3. Verwijder de alkalinebatterijen door ze een voor een voorzichtig uit de portofoon te halen.

4. Sluit de batterijklep en draai de borgschroef weer vast.

Opmerking: Verwijder het NiMH-accupak en de AAbatterijen voorzichtig. Gebruik geen scherpe of geleidende voorwerpen om het accupak of de batterijen te verwijderen.

Verwijder het accupak en de batterijen wanneer u uw portofoon langere tijd niet gebruikt.

Batterijen oxideren na verloop van tijd. Dat kan leiden tot permanente schade aan uw portofoon.

Batterijmeter van de portofoon

Het batterijpictogram van de portofoon toont het batterijniveau van volledig opgeladen tot leeg . Wanneer er nog

één streepje over is, waarschuwt de portofoon u met een pieptoon. Die klinkt met regelmatige tussenpozen, en na het loslaten van de PTT-toets (melding voor laag batterijniveau).

Onderhoud van de batterijen

1. Laad het NiMH-accupak elke 3 maanden op als u de portofoon niet gebruikt.

2. Verwijder het accupak en de batterijen na gebruik en bewaar ze elders.

3. Bewaar het NiMH-accupak bij een temperatuur tussen

-20 °C en 35 °C, en bij een lage luchtvochtigheid. Vermijd vochtige omstandigheden en bijtende materialen.

De Micro-USB-oplader gebruiken

Met de micro-USB-oplaadpoort kunt u het NiMH-accupak gemakkelijk opladen.

1. Zet de portofoon uit.

2. Sluit de micro-USB-kabel aan op de micro-USB-oplaadpoort van de portofoon. Steek het andere uiteinde van de micro-

USB-oplader in het stopcontact.

3. Een lege batterij is na acht uur volledig opgeladen.

4. De batterijmeter vult zich als de batterij wordt opgeladen.

Opmerking: Wij adviseren u om uw portofoon uit te schakelen tijdens het opladen. Wanneer de portofoon is ingeschakeld tijdens het opladen kunt u mogelijk geen berichten verzenden als de accu volledig leeg is. Wacht tot de batterij tot één streepje is opgeladen voordat u een bericht probeert te verzenden.

Bij sterke wisselingen tussen hoge en lage temperaturen dient u het NiMH-accupak niet op te laden voor het de omgevingstemperatuur heeft aangenomen (doorgaans na ongeveer twintig minuten).

Voor een optimale levensduur van de batterij verwijdert u de oplader binnen 16 uur uit de portofoon. Berg de portofoon niet op als deze is aangesloten op de oplader.

De riemklem bevestigen en verwijderen

1. Bevestig de riemklem aan de TLKR-plaat aan de achterzijde van de portofoon en klik de klem vast.

2. Bevestig de riemklem aan een zak of riem en klik de klem vast.

Verwijderen

1. Druk op de ontgrendeling bovenop de riemklem om deze te ontgrendelen.

2. Maak de riemklem los van de achterkant van de portofoon.

De portofoon aan- en uitzetten

Houd de Aan/uit-toets ingedrukt om de portofoon in te schakelen.

1. Als de portofoon is ingeschakeld klinkt er een pieptoon en worden kort alle beschikbare functiepictogrammen getoond.

2. Het scherm toont daarna het huidige kanaal, de code en alle functies die zijn ingeschakeld.

Het volume instellen

Vanuit de stand-bymodus drukt u op of om het huidige niveau weer te geven. Druk op of op om het volume aan te passen of opnieuw in te stellen.

1. Druk op om het luidsprekervolume te verhogen.

2. Druk op om het luidsprekervolume te verlagen.

Houd de portofoon niet te dicht bij uw oor. Als het volume is ingesteld op een onaangenaam niveau, kunt u een gehoorbeschadiging oplopen.

Verlaag het volume tot '0' om het geluid te dempen.

PRATEN EN LUISTEREN

Alle portofoons in uw groep moeten op hetzelfde kanaal en op dezelfde interferentie-eliminatiecode worden ingesteld om te kunnen communiceren.

1. Houd de portofoon op 5 tot 8 cm van uw mond.

2. Houd de PTT toets ingedrukt terwijl u praat. Het pictogram

Transmit verschijnt op het scherm.

3. Laat de PTT-toets los. U kunt nu binnenkomende oproepen ontvangen. Wanneer dit gebeurt, verschijnt het pictogram

Receive op het scherm.

Voor maximale geluidshelderheid houdt u de portofoon vijf tot acht centimeter van uw oor. Zorg dat de microfoon onbedekt blijft als u spreekt.

Zendbereik

Uw portofoon is ontworpen voor optimale prestaties en een verbeterd zendbereik. Gebruik de portofoons niet op een afstand die kleiner is dan anderhalve meter.

Monitor-toets

Houd de toets Scan/Monitor drie seconden ingedrukt om te luisteren naar het volumeniveau van de portofoon wanneer u geen berichten ontvangt. Zo kunt u indien nodig het volume aanpassen. Druk op de toets Scan/Monitor om te controleren of er activiteit is op het huidige kanaal voordat u begint te spreken.

Push-to-Talk time-out-timer

Om te voorkomen dat u per ongeluk berichten verzendt en om de accu te sparen zendt de portofoon continu een waarschuwingstoon uit. Het apparaat stopt met zenden als u gedurende 60 seconden de PTT-toets ingedrukt houdt.

Een kanaal selecteren

Uw portofoon heeft acht kanalen. Met 'het kanaal' wordt de frequentie bedoeld die de portofoon gebruikt om te zenden.

1. Als de portofoon aanstaat, drukt u op de Menutoets tot het kanaalnummer begint te knipperen.

2. Druk op of om het kanaal te wijzigen. Door langer op deze toetsen te drukken kunt u snel door de kanalen bladeren om de codes te bekijken.

3. Druk op de PTT-toets om het menu te verlaten, of op de

Menutoets om de portofoon verder in te stellen.

De interferentie-eliminatiecode selecteren

Interferentie-eliminatiecodes helpen om ruis tot een minimum te beperken door transmissies uit onbekende bronnen te blokkeren.

Uw portofoon heeft 121 interferentie-eliminatiecodes.

De code instellen voor een kanaal:

1. Druk 2 keer op de Menutoets totdat de code '9' begint te knipperen.

2. Druk op of om de code te selecteren. Houd de toets ingedrukt om sneller door de lijst met codes te bladeren.

3. Druk op de PTT-toets om het menu te verlaten, of op de

Menutoets om de portofoon verder in te stellen.

Oproeptonen instellen en verzenden

Uw portofoon kan verschillende oproeptonen verzenden naar andere portofoons in uw groep, zodat u kunt aangeven dat u iets wilt zeggen. Uw portofoon heeft 20 oproeptonen waaruit u kunt kiezen.

Een oproeptoon selecteren:

1. Druk drie keer op de Menutoets tot het oproeptoonpictogram oproeptoon knippert.

Als u uw oproeptoon wilt verzenden naar andere portofoons stelt u uw apparaat in op hetzelfde kanaal en dezelfde interferentie-eliminatiecode. Druk vervolgens op de oproeptoontoets.

Voice Operated Transmission

U begint met zenden door in de microfoon van de portofoon te spreken, in plaats van op de PTT-toets te drukken.

1. Druk 4 keer op de Menutoets tot het pictogram wordt weergegeven op het scherm. De huidige instelling

(L1-L3) knippert.

2. Druk op of om het gevoeligheidsniveau in te stellen.

3. Druk op de PTT-toets om het menu te verlaten, of op de

Menutoets om de portofoon verder in te stellen.

L3 = Hoge gevoeligheid voor rustige omgevingen

L2 = Gemiddelde gevoeligheid voor de meeste omgevingen

L1 = Lage gevoeligheid voor omgevingen met veel lawaai

Opmerking: Er zit een korte vertraging tussen het moment waarop u begint te praten en het moment waarop de portofoon begint uit te zenden.

Monitor voor twee kanalen

Hiermee kunt u om en om op het huidige kanaal en op een ander kanaal scannen.

Een ander kanaal instellen en Twee kanalen starten:

1. Druk 5 keer op de Menutoets tot het pictogram

Twee kanalen wordt weergegeven. Twee kanalen knippert.

2. Druk op of om het kanaal te selecteren en druk vervolgens op de Menutoets.

3. Druk op of om de interferentie-eliminatiecode te selecteren.

4. Druk op de PTT-toets om het menu te verlaten, of op de

Menutoets om de portofoon verder in te stellen.

5. Twee kanalen is nu ingeschakeld.

Opmerking: Als u hetzelfde kanaal en dezelfde code instelt als voor het huidige kanaal, dan wordt de monitor voor twee kanalen uitgeschakeld.

Silent Mode (Vibrate Alert)

Silent Mode (Vibrate Alert) maakt u erop attent dat de portofoon een bericht ontvangt. Dit is handig in omgevingen met veel lawaai. Wanneer het trilalarm is ingeschakeld, trilt de portofoon om de 30 seconden wanneer u een bericht hebt ontvangen op het kanaal en de code die u hebt ingesteld.

1. Druk 7 keer op de Menutoets tot het pictogram

Vibracall wordt weergegeven. De huidige instelling knippert.

2. Druk op of om de instelling te wijzigen naar On of Off.

3. Druk op de PTT-toets om het menu te verlaten, of op de

Menutoets om de portofoon verder in te stellen.

Keypad Tones

U kunt de toetsenbordtonen in- of uitschakelen. U hoort de toetstoon telkens wanneer een toets wordt ingedrukt.

1. Druk 8 keer op de Menutoets tot het pictogram

Keypad Tone wordt weergegeven. De huidige instelling

(On of Off) knippert.

2. Druk op of om toetsenbordtonen in of uit te schakelen.

3. Druk op de PTT-toets om te bevestigen, of op de

Menutoets om de portofoon verder in te stellen.

Opmerking: De volgende functies zijn niet uitgeschakeld wanneer de toetsenbordtonen uit staan:

• Meldingstoon time-out verzenden

• Oproeptoon

• Meldingstoon voor laag batterijniveau of

• Bevestigingstoon voor Talk Confirmation

Een Talk Confirmation-toon verzenden

U kunt instellen dat de portofoon een unieke toon verzendt wanneer u klaar bent met spreken. Het is net zoiets als wanneer u 'Roger' of 'Over' zou zeggen om anderen te laten weten dat u klaar bent.

1. Druk 9 keer op de Menutoets tot het pictogram

Roger-toon wordt weergegeven. De huidige instelling

(On of Off) knippert.

2. Druk op of om deze functie in of uit te schakelen.

3. Druk op de PTT-toets om dit in te stellen, of op de

Menutoets om de portofoon verder in te stellen.

Modus Emergency Alert

Met de functie Emergency Alert kunt u de leden van uw groep laten weten dat u dringend hulp nodig hebt. De T92 H2O portofoon schakelt over naar een automatische handsfree noodbedieningsmodus, gedurende 30 seconden na het activeren van het noodsignaal. Het luidsprekervolume van de T92 H2O portofoons in uw groep wordt automatisch op maximaal gezet, en er klinkt 8 seconden lang een opvallende alarmtoon. Deze alarmtoon wordt uitgezonden door de luidspreker van uw eigen portofoon en door de luidsprekers van de ontvangende portofoons in uw groep. Na het alarm van

8 seconden worden 22 seconden lang alle woorden of geluiden aan uw kant naar de groep verzonden. Tijdens de 30 seconden dat de modus Emergency Alert is ingeschakeld zijn de toetsen en de bediening van de T92 H2O portofoons vergrendeld voor een optimale ontvangst van het alarmsignaal.

1. Houd de knop Emergency Alert 3 seconden ingedrukt bij noodsituaties.

2. Laat de toets los. De alarmtoon begint. Tegelijkertijd begint de rode led te knipperen. U hoeft de knop Emergency Alert of de PTT-toets niet ingedrukt te houden om uw bericht te verzenden.

WAARSCHUWING: de functie Emergency Alert mag alleen worden gebruikt als er werkelijk sprake is van een noodsituatie. Motorola Solutions is niet verantwoordelijk als de ontvangende groep niet reageert op het noodsignaal.

Ingebouwde zaklamp

Druk op de zaklamptoets om te wisselen tussen uit, rood licht, wit licht en vervolgens weer uit.

De zaklamp wordt uitgeschakeld wanneer u op de zaklamptoets drukt nadat het rode licht langer dan 3 seconden heeft gebrand.

Als er langer dan 30 minuten geen activiteit is, schakelt de zaklamp zichzelf automatisch uit wanneer het batterijniveau lager is dan 50%.

Opmerking: Schakel de zaklamp uit wanneer u deze niet gebruikt om de accu te sparen.

Toetsenbordvergrendeling

Zo voorkomt u dat u per ongeluk de instellingen van uw portofoon wijzigt:

1. Houd de Menutoets ingedrukt tot het pictogram

Toetsenbordvergrendeling wordt weergegeven.

2. Als het toetsenbord is vergrendeld, kunt u de portofoon aan- en uitzetten, het volume aanpassen, berichten ontvangen, berichten verzenden, en kanalen scannen. Alle andere functies blijven vergrendeld.

3. U ontgrendelt de portofoon door de Menutoets ingedrukt te houden tot het pictogram Toetsenbordvergrendeling niet meer wordt weergegeven.

Scannen

U kunt de scanfunctie als volgt gebruiken:

• Zoeken naar berichten van onbekende partijen op de

8 kanalen.

• Iemand die per ongeluk van kanaal is gewisseld binnen uw groep terugvinden of

• Snel zoeken naar ongebruikte kanalen voor eigen gebruik.

U heeft de beschikking over een prioriteitenfunctie en 2 scanmodi

(basis en geavanceerd) om uw zoekopdracht effectiever te maken.

• De modus Basis Scan gebruikt de combinaties van kanalen en codes die u voor elk van de 8 kanalen hebt ingesteld

(of met de standaardcodewaarde van 1).

• De modus Advanced Scan scant alle kanalen op alle codes.

Codes die in gebruik zijn worden gedetecteerd en tijdelijk voor dat kanaal gebruikt.

• Het 'Home Channel' (het kanaal en de interferentieeliminatiecode waarop uw portofoon is ingesteld als u de scan start) krijgt prioriteit. Dit betekent dat dit Home Channel

(en de bijbehorende code-instellingen) vaker worden gescand dan de andere 7 kanalen. Omdat het Home

Channel prioriteit krijgt, zal uw portofoon snel reageren op eventuele activiteiten op dat kanaal.

Basicscan starten:

1. Druk kort op de toets. Het scanpictogram wordt weergegeven op het scherm, en de portofoon begint te bladeren door de combinaties van kanalen en codes.

2. Wanneer de portofoon activiteiten detecteert met de juiste combinatie van kanaal en code stopt hij met bladeren.

U kunt de transmissie horen.

3. Druk binnen vijf seconden na het einde van de transmissie op de PTT-toets om te reageren en te spreken met de persoon die het bericht heeft verzonden.

4. Vijf seconden na het einde van de ontvangen activiteit bladert de portofoon weer verder.

5. Druk op de toets Scan/Monitor om het scannen kort te onderbreken.

Geavanceerd scannen starten:

Een ander kanaal instellen en de monitor voor twee kanalen starten:

1. Druk kort op de toets Scan/Monitor. Het scanpictogram

wordt weergegeven op het scherm, en de portofoon begint te bladeren door de kanalen. Het geluid wordt niet gefilterd door interferentie-eliminatiecodes.

2. Wanneer de portofoon activiteiten detecteert op een kanaal met een willekeurige code (of zonder code), dan stopt hij met bladeren en kunt u de transmissie horen. Alle interferentie-eliminatiecodes die bij andere partijen in gebruik kunnen zijn worden gedetecteerd en getoond.

3. Wanneer u wilt reageren of als u wilt spreken met de persoon die het bericht verzendt, dan drukt u binnen vijf seconden na het einde van de transmissie op de PTT-toets.

4. Vijf seconden na het einde van de ontvangen activiteit bladert de portofoon weer verder.

5. Druk op de toets Scan/Monitor om het scannen kort te onderbreken.

Opmerkingen bij het scannen:

1. Als u op de PTT-toets drukt terwijl de portofoon door inactieve kanalen bladert, wordt uw bericht via het 'Home

Channel' verzonden. U kunt het scannen op ieder moment stoppen door op de toets Scan/Monitor te drukken.

2. U kunt het scannen direct hervatten door kort te drukken op

of als de portofoon stopt bij een ongewenste transmissie.

3. U kunt het betreffende kanaal tijdelijk uit de scanlijst verwijderen door of gedurende drie seconden ingedrukt te houden als de portofoon herhaaldelijk stopt bij een ongewenste transmissie. U kunt op deze manier meer dan één kanaal verwijderen.

4. Schakel de portofoon uit en zet hem vervolgens weer aan, of sluit en heropen de scanmodus door op de toets Scan/

Monitor te drukken wanneer u verwijderde kanalen weer wilt toevoegen aan de scanlijst.

5. U kunt het Home Channel niet verwijderen uit de scanlijst.

6. In de functie Advanced Scan zal de gedetecteerde code maar voor één transmissie worden gebruikt. Wanneer u de gedetecteerde code permanent wilt gebruiken noteert u de code en sluit u de scan af. Stel vervolgens de gedetecteerde code in voor dat kanaal.

Watersensor

Wanneer de portofoon in contact komt met water, blijft de witte led knipperen tot de batterij leeg is. Druk op de zaklamptoets om de knipperende led uit te zetten.

Garantie-informatie

De geautoriseerde Motorola-verkoper bij wie u de Motorolatweerichtingsportofoon en/of originele accessoires hebt gekocht, accepteert een garantieclaim en/of voorziet in garantieservice.

Retourneer de portofoon naar uw verkoper om gebruik te maken van de garantieservice. Stuur de portofoon niet terug naar Motorola.

U komt in aanmerking voor de garantieservice als u een kassabon of een vergelijkbaar aankoopbewijs met vermelding van de aanschafdatum kunt overleggen. De tweerichtingportofoon dient ook duidelijk te zijn voorzien van een serienummer. U hebt geen recht op garantie als het type- en/of serienummer op het product zijn veranderd, verwijderd of onleesbaar zijn gemaakt.

Wat door de garantie niet wordt gedekt

• Defecten of schade als gevolg van gebruik van het Product op een andere manier dan de normale en gebruikelijke manier of door het niet opvolgen van de instructies in deze handleiding.

• Defecten of schade door misbruik, ongevallen, of nalatigheid.

• Defecten of schade door onjuist testen, gebruik, onderhoud, bewerken, wijziging of aanpassing op welke manier dan ook.

• Afbreken van of schade aan antennes, tenzij rechtstreeks veroorzaakt door materiaal- of fabricagefouten.

• Producten die zijn gedemonteerd of gerepareerd op een zodanige manier dat de prestaties van het product nadelig worden beïnvloed of het normale testen van het product voor het vaststellen van een garantieclaim wordt verstoord.
