Vibration Safety

Tools mounted on this Stand vibrate during use.

Repeated or long-term exposure to vibration may cause temporary or permanent physical injury, particularly to the hands, arms and shoulders.

To reduce the risk of vibration-related injury:

1. Anyone using vibrating tools regularly or for an extended period should first be examined by a doctor and then have regular medical check-ups to ensure medical problems are not being caused or worsened from use. Pregnant women or people who have impaired blood circulation to the hand, past hand injuries, nervous system disorders, diabetes, or

Raynaud’s Disease should not use this tool.

If you feel any symptoms related to vibration (such as tingling, numbness, and white or blue fingers), seek medical advice as soon as possible.

2. Do not smoke during use. Nicotine reduces the blood supply to the hands and fingers, increasing the risk of vibration-related injury.

3. Wear suitable gloves to reduce the vibration effects on the user.

4. Use tools with the lowest vibration when there is a choice.

5. Include vibration-free periods each day of work.

6. Grip tool as lightly as possible (while still keeping safe control of it). Let the tool do the work.

7. To reduce vibration, maintain the tool as explained in this manual. If any abnormal vibration occurs, stop use immediately.

8. People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure. In addition, people with pacemakers should:

• Avoid operating alone.

• Properly maintain and inspect to avoid electrical shock.

• Properly ground power cord. Ground Fault Circuit

Interrupter (GFCI) should also be implemented

– it prevents sustained electrical shock.

Spring Washers (31), and Nuts (32).

Extension arm assembly note: The two Mounting Brackets must be parallel to each other. If the miter saw does not have at least four mounting holes that line up with the bolts on the

Mounting Brackets, it will need to be attached using a universal mounting platform, as explained on page 6.

WarninG!

Included Carriage Bolts (29) may be too long or short for your miter saw. They must properly secure the miter saw to the brackets, thread all the way through the washers and nut, and not interfere with the safe operation of the saw in any way.

Replacement bolts can be used instead, but they must be grade 5, have the same head type and size as the included Bolts (29), and have a 1.0mm thread pitch and M6 thread diameter. They also must properly secure the miter saw to the brackets, thread all the way through the washers and nut, and not interfere with the safe operation of the saw in any way.

10. With the help of an assistant, lift and mount the Miter

Saw/Mounting Brackets onto the Main Frame (20).

Bracket Lever (24) to open it.

b. Align the Clamp Blocks, on the inside end of the

Brackets, to one side of the Main Frame. Then, guide the Saw/Brackets down so that the Levers align with the other side of the Main Frame.

c. Release the Levers once they and the Blocks are aligned with the Frame. Releasing the Levers will lock the Saw/Brackets onto the Main Frame.

11. To move the Saw, squeeze the Lever on each

Bracket. Slide the Saw across the Frame and into its desired position. Once in position, release the Levers to lock the Saw in place.

12. To remove the Saw with attached Mounting

Brackets from the Saw Stand, squeeze the Lever on each bracket. This will open the Levers and allow you to lift the Saw/Brackets off of the Stand.

13. Once the Saw is positioned, check that it is fully seated and locked in position. The

Clamp Blocks should be on the same side of the Stand as the Saw operator.

universal Mounting platform

1. For Miter Saws with unusual mounting patterns, a mounting platform can be used. Use minimum

3/4″ thick plywood that is at least 4″ wider than the widest part of the miter saw base and at least as deep as the smallest depth of the miter saw base or a minimum of 16″, whichever is larger.

2. Ensure the plywood is square and drill 3/8″ holes in the four corners, 1″ in from the sides. These will be the holes for the two Mounting Brackets (21).
