introductie
De thermometer is ontwikkeld voor een nauwkeurige, veilige, snelle en contactloze meting van de lichaamstemperatuur (op een afstand van 1 tot 5 cm) op het voorhoofd en voorwerp metingen, zoals babyflesjes en eten.
Het apparaat is bedoeld voor periodieke controles van de lichaamstemperatuur binnenshuis.
Het apparaat mag gebruikt worden voor mensen van alle leeftijden.
De patient kan metingen uitvoeren, de batterijen vervangen onder normale omstandigheden en het apparaat en de accessoires onderhouden volgens de handleiding.

Om een nauwkeurig resultaat te krijgen, is het noodzakelijk om een meting juist uit te voeren.
Lees daarom deze handleiding zorgvuldig door voor het gebruik.
• Gebruik van deze thermometer is niet bedoeld als vervanging van een doktersconsult. Meetresultaten zijn alleen ter indicatie. Neem contact op met uw arts als naar uw mening uw gezondheidstoestand slecht is.
• De infrarood sensor moet schoon, droog en onbeschadigd blijven om een goede meting te garanderen.
• Vettigheid op het voorhoofd kan een verkeerde meting veroorzaken. Zorg er dus voor dat het

• De infrarood sensor niet aanraken of erop blazen. Een vuile infrarood sensor kan een verkeerde meting geven.
• Gebruik deze thermometer enkel voor

NIET GOED
• Als de omgevingstemperatuur sterk afwijkt van de ruimte waarin de meting plaats zal vinden, wacht dan 30 minuten voordat u de meting uitvoert.

• Houd het apparaat buiten het bereik van kinderen en dieren om te voorkomen dat ze kleine onderdelen inslikken.
• Laat kinderen niet zonder toezicht hun temperatuur meten.
Kinderen zijn niet in staat om het apparaat te gebruiken volgens de instructies in de handleiding. De thermometer is geen speelgoed.
• Explosiegevaar!
Werp batterijen niet in vuur.
• Bewaar het apparaat niet in extreme temperaturen (onder
-20°C/-4°F of boven 55°C/131°F ) of extreme vochtigheid (onder
15%RH of boven 90%RH). Het niet opvolgen van deze instructie kan leiden tot onnauwkeurige metingen.
• Gebruik de thermometer niet als deze beschadigd is
(bijvoorbeeld als de sensor stuk is). Als u de thermometer toch blijft gebruiken, kan dit letsel veroorzaken en de resultaten kunnen onnauwkeurig zijn.
• Repareer het apparaat niet zelf. De garantie zal vervallen. Neem contact op met uw leverancier.
• Gebruik geen mobiele apparatuur, zoals een mobiele telefoon, in de buurt als er metingen worden uitgevoerd.
• Haal de batterijen uit het apparaat als u deze langere tijd niet gaat gebruiken. Als er een batterij is gaan lekken, moet u deze voorzichtig verwijderen. Let goed op dat er geen lekkende vloeistof op de huid komt.
• Dit apparaat heeft speciale voorschriften nodig aangaande EMC en moet geïnstalleerd en gebruikt worden volgens de EMC informatie. Dit apparaat kan beïnvloed worden door draagbare en mobiele RF communicatie apparatuur.
• Bewaar de thermometer op een droge, schone plek. Bescherm het apparaat tegen directe zonnestralen, extreem hoge of lage temperaturen, verontreinigingen en stof.
• Dompel de thermometer nooit in water of andere vloeistoffen onder.
• Raak de patient en de batterijen tijdens het gebruik niet tegelijkertijd aan.
• Bij vragen over het apparaat, zoals het ingebruik nemen, onderhouden of gebruik, kunt u contact opnemen met de klantenservice van Inventum.

De normale lichaamstemperatuur is een bereik. Het normale bereik van een persoon kan verlagen naar mate men ouder wordt.
De onderstaande tabel toont het normale temperatuurbereik op leeftijd:

Het bereik van de normale temperatuur kan per persoon verschillen en kan beïnvloed worden door verschillende factoren, zoals tijdstip, activiteit, medicaties, gemoedstoestand, enzovoort.
Oefen daarom met de thermometer en voer metingen op uzelf en familieleden uit in gezonde toestand. U weet dan hoe de thermometer werkt als u deze daadwerkelijk nodig heeft en zo kunt u ook op de resultaten vertrouwen als er iemand ziek is.

voor het eerste gebruik
Voordat u het apparaat voor het eerst gebruikt, doet u het volgende: pak het apparaat voorzichtig uit en verwijder het verpakkingsmateriaal. Houd het materiaal (plastic zakken en karton) buiten het bereik van kinderen. Controleer het apparaat na het uitpakken op beschadiging, mogelijk door het transport.

Om nauwkeurige metingen te krijgen, is het belangrijk dat de infrarood sensor schoon is voor het gebruik. Reinig de sensor met een wattenstaafje die iets vochtig gemaakt is met alcohol.
Maak de sensor direct droog met een schoon wattenstaafje. Laat de sensor 20 minuten drogen voordat er metingen uitgevoerd worden.

Vettigheid op het voorhoofd kan een verkeerde meting veroorzaken. Zorg er dus voor dat het voorhoofd schoon is. Als u het voorhoofd schoon maakt, moet u 20 minuten wachten voordat u een meting uitvoert.

Als de omgevingstemperatuur sterk afwijkt van de ruimte waarin de meting plaats zal vinden, wacht dan 30 minuten voordat u de meting uitvoert.
4. Open het batterijklepje en verwijder het stripje bij de batterijen wanneer u de thermometer voor de eerste keer gaat gebruiken. De thermometer gaat automatisch aan en het display, zoals hiernaast afgebeeld, wordt getoond.
Druk op een willekeurige knop om de thermometer te activeren als deze uit is gegaan.
Let op: In de standby modus toont het LCD display afwisselend de tijd en de huidige omgevingstemperatuur.

Houd de thermometer vast zoals afgebeeld met uw duim op de [ ] meetknop.
• Druk nog niet op de knop.
• Zorg ervoor dat de meetpunt schoon is.
2.
Druk op de [ ] meetknop om de meting te starten. De sensor is nu actief en u kunt de juiste positie bepalen voor een meting via het voorhoofd.
Als de positie goed is, hoort u een geluidssignaal en de meting wordt uitgevoerd.
Het controlelampje in de meetknop brandt volgens de gemeten waarde (groen is goed, rood betekent koorts). De meting is gedaan en u kunt de thermometer van het voorhoofd verwijderen.

De temperatuur is ook zichtbaar op het display.
Attentie: Nadat de meetknop ingedrukt is, zal de afstandssensor de afstand meten tussen het voorhoofd en de thermometer. Als de afstand tussen de 1 tot 5cm is, zal er direct een meting gedaan worden. Als de afstand meer dan 5 cm is of minder dan
1 cm zal er een geluidssignaal klinken, welke aangeeft dat de thermometer dichter bij het voorhoofd gehouden moet worden.
Zo niet dan zal de thermometer weer in de standby modus gaan.

Druk na de meting op de [ M ] geheugenknop of wacht 1 minuut voordat de thermometer in de standby modus gaat.

temperatuur meten van een voorwerp
1.
Druk tegelijkertijd de knoppen [ ] en [M] in om over te schakelen naar een voorwerp meting.
2.
Houd de thermometer vast en zorg ervoor dat de sensor 1 tot 5 cm is verwijderd van het te meten oppervlak of vloeistof. Druk op de [ ] meetknop om de meting te starten.
3.
Verwijder de thermometer van het oppervlak. De temperatuur is zichtbaar op het display.
U kunt de [ M ] geheugenknop indrukken om terug te keren naar de standby modus gaan.
De thermometer zal na 1 minuut automatisch terug keren naar de standby modus als er geen knop ingedrukt wordt.

tips voor het meten
1.
De temperatuur kan door verschillende factoren beïnvloed worden, vooral als de persoon:
• blootgesteld is aan hele warme of koude temperaturen;
• recent heeft gezwommen of in bad is geweest;
• het voorhoofd afgedekt heeft gehad.
In een dergelijk geval moet men 30 minuten wachten voordat de meting opnieuw uitgevoerd kan worden.
2.
Bij het meten van een voorwerp wordt de huidige temperatuur getoond. Deze temperatuur kan verschillen van de interne temperatuur, in het bijzonder als het oppervlak direct zonlicht heeft gehad of tocht.

Het LED controlelampje kan twee kleuren tonen.
Afhankelijk van de temperatuur meting wordt de kleur getoond. Het bereik is als volgt:
Groen LED: 34.0°C ~ 37.9°C (93.2°F ~ 100.3°F)
Rood LED: 38.0°C ~ 42.9°C (100.4°F ~ 109.3°F)

Er zijn 9 geheugen posities om voorhoofdsmetingen op te slaan.
De huidige meting wordt altijd opgeslagen op de laatste positie.
Wanneer alle geheugen posities vol zijn, zal de oudste meting verwijderd worden uit het geheugen.
Druk op de [M] geheugenknop om de opgeslagen metingen te bekijken.
Het LCD display toont de geheugenpositie en de gemeten temperatuur zoals hiernaast afgebeeld is.
Druk herhaaldelijk op de [M] geheugenknop om de geheugenpositie van uw keuze te bekijken.
Druk tegelijkertijd op de [ ] en [M] knoppen om terug te keren naar de standby modus.
Let op: Het is niet mogelijk om een individuele meting, of alle metingen handmatig te wissen.

de batterijen vervangen
Wanneer de batterijen bijna leeg zijn, verschijnt het symbool “ ” op het display. Of als de thermometer helemaal niet meer functioneert, moet u de batterijen vervangen.
De thermometer wordt geleverd met twee batterijen
(2 x AAA). Verwijder het batterijklepje en haal de batterijen eruit. Plaats nieuwe AAA batterijen in het batterijvak.
Let op de positie van + en - polen van de batterijen.
Plaats het batterijklepje terug op de thermometer.
Let op:
• Lege batterijen zijn schadelijk voor het milieu; verwijder deze niet als gewoon huisvuil, maar volg de plaatselijke richtlijnen voor recycling.
• Houd batterijen buiten het bereik van kinderen.

reiniging & onderhoud
Om zeker te zijn van juiste metingen is het belangrijk dat de infrarood sensor en de afstandssensor schoon zijn en geen krassen hebben. Vingerafdrukken of vuil zullen de nauwkeurigheid van de thermometer nadelig beïnvloeden.
Om een nauwkeurige meting te doen, moeten de infrarood sensor en de afstandssensor gereinigd worden. Reinig de sensoren voorzichtig met een wattenstaafje die vochtig gemaakt is met alcohol en maak de sensoren direct droog met een schoon wattenstaafje.
Gebruik een zachte, droge doek om de rest van de thermometer te reinigen.
Reinig de thermometer nooit met agressieve reinigingsmiddelen en dompel de thermometer nooit onder in water of andere vloeistoffen.
Bewaar de thermometer in een schone, droge ruimte op kamertemperatuur. Stel de thermometer niet bloot aan extreme temperaturen, vochtigheid, direct zonlicht of schokken.
KALIBRATIE
De thermometer is gekalibreerd tijdens de productie. Als de thermometer gebruikt wordt volgens de instructies in de handleiding is het niet nodig om de thermometer opnieuw te kalibreren.
Probeer de thermometer niet te modificeren of na demontage, opnieuw te monteren.

introduction
The thermometer has been carefully developed for accurate, safe, fast and contact-free human body temperature measurements
(at a distance of approximateiy 1-5cm) on the forehead and object temperature measurements.
The reference body site is core and the mode of operation is adjusted mode. The device is intended for the intermittent monitoring of human body temperature in the home.
It is intended for use on people of all ages. The patient can measure and change batteries under normal circumstances and maintain the device and its accessories according to the user manual.

• This product needs special precautions regarding EMC and needs to be installed and put into service according to the EMC information provided, and this unit can be affected by portable and mobile RF communications equipment.
• The materials (e.g. ABS) of expect contact with patient had passed the ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10993-10 standards test, no toxicity, allergy and irritation reaction. However, based on the current science and technology, other potential allergic reactions are unknown.
• If you have an allergic reaction to materials, please stop treatment immediately and consult your physician.
• Store the thermometer in a dry, clean place. It is forbidden to leave the product exposed to any chemical solvent, lint, dust, direct sunshine or high temperature.
• When using, you shall not touch the batteries and the patient simultaneously.

The normal body temperature is a range. A person' s normal temperature range tends to decrease with increasing age. The following table shows normal temperature ranges by age:

The range of normal temperature varies from person to person and can be influenced by many factors such as time of day, level of activity, medications, emotion and so on.
So we recommend that you practice with the thermometer on yourself and family members when you are healthy. This way you know how the thermometer works and you feel more confident of the measurements you take when a family member is ill.

before first use
Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material. Keep the material (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance after unpacking for any damage which may have occurred during transport.

To achieve accurate measurements, it is very important to check that the infrared sensor is clean before using. To clean the sensor, gently wipe its surface with a cotton swab that is slightly moistened with alcohol and immediately wipe dry with a clean cotton swab. After cleaning, allow at least 20 minutes drying time before taking temperatures.
2.
Lipid on the forehead may cause an inaccurate measurement, so make sure the forehead is clean. If you clean the forehead, please wait for 5~10 minutes before measuring.

If the temperature of the storage area of the thermometer differs a lot from that of the measuring area, please wait 30 minutes before measuring.
4. Please open the battery cover and remove the insulating piece for the batteries when you use the thermometer for the first time. The thermometer turns on automatically and the LCD display looks like the figure as shown on the right.
Press any button to turn it on when it was turned off.
Caution:
In waiting mode, the LCD circularly displays the time and the current room temperature.

how to measure forehead temperature
1.
Place the thermometer in your hand as shown with your thumb on the [ ] measuring button.
• Do not press the button yet.
• Make sure the probe is clean before measuring.
2.
Press the [ ] measuring button. The sensor is on and you can locate the position for the forehead measurement. If the position is OK, release the button, but keep the thermometer in position until you hear a sound signal. The control light will be lit according to the temperature (green is good, red means fever). The measurement is complete and the thermometer may be removed from the head.
3.
Read the temperature on the display.
Caution: After pressing the measuring button, the distance sensor will detect the distance between the forehead and thermometer. If the distance is between 1- 5cm, it will directly test the forehead temperature. If the distance is more than 5cm or less than 1cm, a sound signal will be issued, it indicates that the thermometer should be moved closer to the forehead in 1- 5cm.
If not , it will return directly to waiting mode.

After the test, press the [ M ] memory button or wait for 1 minute to return to the waiting mode.

how to measure object temperature
1.
Press at the same time on the buttons [ ] and [M] to switch to the object mode.
2. Hold the thermometer and ensure the sensor is around 1 to 5 cm from the liquid or surface you want to measure. Press the [ ] measuring button to start the measurement.

Remove the thermometer from the object. The
LCD displays the measured temperature.
You can press the [ M ] memory button to return back to standby mode.
The thermometer will automatically return back to standby mode after 1 minute if no button is pressed.

temperature taking tips
1.
External factors may influence forehead temperatures, particularly when an individual has:
• been exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures
• been recently swimming or bathing.
• had their forehead covered.
In these cases, remove the individual from the situation and wait for 30 minutes prior to taking a temperature again.

With object measurement, the current surface temperature of the object is displayed. It can be different from its internal

There are two colors of the LED temperature indicator in this device. The relevant LED can show one of two lights after the measurement.

check the memory
There are a total of 9 memory positions for recording forehead temperature measurements.
The current measurement is always stored in the last storage space. When all storage spaces are occupied, the oldest measurement is always deleted from the memory.
Press the [M] memory button to check the memory data.
The LCD displays memory position number and measured temperature like the figures shown on the right.
Press the [M] memory button repeatedly to go to the memory position you need.
Press the [ ] and [M] buttons at the same time, to go back to standby mode.
Attention: It is not possible to delete an individual measurement or all measurements manually.

replacing the battery
When the low battery indicator “ ” appears on the
LCD, or the thermometer does not function at all, you should replace the batteries as soon as possible.
The thermometer is supplied with two batteries
(2 x AAA). Remove the battery cover and take out the batteries. Insert new AAA batteries into the battery compartment.
Make sure you are installing the batteries properly, be sure to match the positive and negative ends of the battery to the marking in the battery compartment of the thermometer.
Slide the battery compartment cover back until it snaps in place.
Caution:
• To protect the environment, dispose of exhausted batteries according to national or local regulations.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.

cleaning & maintenance
To ensure accurate measurements, keep the infrared sensor and the distance sensor clean and free of scratches. This is very important. Finger prints or dirt will affect the accuracy of the thermometer.
In order to get an accurate measurement, please clean the infrared sensor and the distance sensor.
Gently wipe its surface with a cotton swab slightly moistened with alcohol and immediately wipe dry with a clean cotton swab.
Use a soft dry cloth to clean the body of the thermometer. Never clean the thermometer with an abrasive cleanser, thinner, benzene or submerge the thermometer into water or other liquids.
After cleaning , store it in a clean, dry place at room temperature.
Never expose the thermometer to extreme temperatures, humidity, direct sunlight or shock.
CALIBRATION
The thermometer is initially calibrated at the time of the manufacture. If the thermometer is used according to the instruction, periodic recalibration is not required.
Don't attempt to modify or reassemble the thermometer.

2 jaar volledige fabrieksgarantie
1. Op alle producten van Inventum krijg je als consument standaard 2 jaar volledige fabrieksgarantie. Binnen deze periode wordt een defect product of onderdeel altijd gratis omgeruild voor een nieuw exemplaar. Om aanspraak te maken op de 2 jaar volledige fabrieksgarantie, kun je teruggaan naar de winkel waar je het product hebt gekocht of contact opnemen met de consumentenservice van Inventum via het contactformulier op www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag.
2. De garantieperiode van 2 jaar begint te lopen op de datum van aankoop van het product.

Storingen of defecten buiten de garantieperiode
1. In geval van storingen of defecten aan klein huishoudelijke apparatuur of groot huishoudelijke apparatuur buiten de garantieperiode, kan hiervan melding worden gemaakt bij de consumentenservice via het contactformulier www.
inventum.eu/service-aanvraag of door te bellen met de consumentenservice.
2. De consumentenservice kan je vragen het product voor onderzoek of reparatie op te sturen. De kosten van verzending zijn voor jouw rekening.
3. Aan het onderzoek naar de mogelijkheid tot repareren zijn

4. Bij groot huishoudelijke apparatuur kan Inventum op jouw verzoek een witgoedmonteur sturen. De voorrijkosten, onderdeel- en materiaalkosten en arbeidsloon worden dan aan je in rekening gebracht.
5. In geval van opdracht tot reparatie moeten de reparatiekosten vooraf worden voldaan. Bij reparatie door een witgoedmonteur, dienen de kosten van de reparatie ter plaatse bij de monteur, bij voorkeur via pinbetaling, te worden afgerekend.
Uitgesloten van garantie
1. De hiervoor genoemde garanties gelden niet in geval van:
• normale slijtage;
• onoordeelkundig of oneigenlijk gebruik;
• onvoldoende onderhoud;
• het niet in acht nemen van de bedienings- en onderhoudsvoorschriften;
• ondeskundige montage of reparatie door derden of door de consument zelf;
• door de consument toegepaste niet originele onderdelen;
• zakelijk of bedrijfsmatig gebruik;
• het serienummer en/of rating-label is verwijderd.
2. Tevens geldt de garantie niet voor normale verbruiksartikelen, zoals:
• kneedhaken, bakblikken, (koolstof)filters, etc.;

• glazen accessoires en glazen delen zoals ovendeuren;
• en soortgelijke zaken.
3. Buiten de garantie vallen transportschades, voor zover deze niet door Inventum zijn veroorzaakt. Controleer daarom je nieuwe apparatuur voordat je deze in gebruik neemt. Hence our products come with an exchange service, on top of the rights and claims you are entitled to by law. By exchanging a product or part, we save you time, effort and costs.
2-year full manufacturer’s warranty
1. Customers enjoy a 2-year full manufacturer’s warranty on all
Inventum products. Within this period, a faulty product or part will always be exchanged for a new model, free of charge. In order to claim under the 2-year full manufacturer’s warranty, you can either return the product to the shop you bought it from or contact the Inventum costumer service department via the form at www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag.
2. The 2-year warranty period starts from the date the product is bought.
3. In order to claim under the warranty, you must produce a copy of the original receipt.
4. The warranty applies only to normal domestic use of Inventum products within the Netherlands.
Breakdowns or faults outside the warranty period
1. Breakdowns or faults in small or large domestic appliances outside the warranty period, can be reported to the costumer services department via the form at www.inventum.eu/serviceaanvraag or by calling the costumer services department.
2. The costumer services department may ask you to send the product for inspection or repair. The costs of dispatch will be at your expense.
3. The inspection to establish whether repair is possible involves a charge. You need to grant your permission for this, in advance.
4. In the event of a large domestic appliance, Inventum, at your request, can send out a service engineer. In that case, you will be

charged the call-out costs, as well as parts and labour.
5. In the event of an instruction to repair, the repair costs must be paid in advance. In the event of a repair by a service engineer, the costs of the repair must be settled with the engineer onsite, preferably by means of PIN payment.
Warranty exclusions
1. The following is excluded from the aforesaid warranties:
• normal wear and tear;
• improper use or misuse;
• insufficient maintenance;
• failure to comply with the operating and maintenance instructions;
• unprofessional installation or repairs by third parties or the customer himself;
• non-original parts used by the customer;
• use for commercial or business purposes;
• removal of the serial number and/or rating label.
2. In addition, the warranty does not apply to normal consumer goods, such as:
• dough hooks, baking tins, (carbon) filters, etc.;
• batteries, bulbs, carbon filters, fat filters etc.;
• external connection cables;
• glass accessories and glass parts such as oven doors;
• and similar items.
3. Transport damage not caused by Inventum is also excluded.
Therefore, inspect your new device before starting to use it.
If you detect any damage, you must report this to the store where you purchased the product within 5 working days, or to the Inventum customer service department via the form at www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag. If transport damage is not reported within this period, Inventum does not accept any liability in this respect.
4. The following are excluded from warranty and/or replacement: faults, loss of and damage to the device as a result of an event that is normally insured under the home contents insurance.

1. The replacement or repair of a faulty product, or a part thereof, does not lead to an extension of the original warranty period.
2. If a complaint is unfounded, all costs arising from it will be at the customer’s expense.
