3. Auto programming/Configuration (Solution 3000)
When the Multicom BMC-3G is first connected to the Bosch Alarm panel bus and powered up, it will attempt to program the settings required for correct alarm communications (RSC password
/ Installer code must match). This is done automatically using the same method as a direct connection (DLA USB Serial) and A Link.
Arm/Disarm for AlarmLINK (Optional)
Prepare your BMC-3G for arm/disarm and the AlarmLINK app, (if you don’t want to setup arm/disarm, skip to step 6).
AlarmLINK is a free-of-charge app that allows customers to control the Multicom via their smartphone.

IMPORTANT For correct operation of all functions, any changes to the RSC password (722) or Installer Code (21) must also be programmed in TechTools Option 38 and 39 to allow the Multicom access to the 3000-series SDI2 Bus.

8 Arm/Disarm for AlarmLINK (Optional)
1. PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING
When a user requests arm/disarm, the
AlarmLINK app will not show the request was successful until the open/close report is received at the monitoring center. These reports are also used to sync the AlarmLINK app so the user can verify if the panel is currently armed or disarmed.
The Bosch panel will not generate the open/ close reports until AFTER the exit and entry delays so the user will experience spinning wheel while waiting for the open/close report to be delivered. If the reports are not enabled the customer will experience a timeout after
2 minutes and, the arm/disarm state will not synchronise correctly on the AlarmLINK app.
Bosch solution 3000 programming for exit and entry delay is in location 311 and 313.

4. BMC-3G Programming
The BMC-3G program settings for the RSC
Password and Bosch Installer code must match the settings programmed in the Solution panel to allow communication on the SDI2 Bus. These settings can be changed in the BMC-3G via Techtools, or, during commissioning (see below)
Details for programming via TechTools are covered in the section “Program the Multicom”

This warranty only applies to defects in parts relating to Multicom products identified with a Multicom product label and shall not cover transformers, metal boxes, access cards & tags, batteries, tamper kits, spare parts, cables & connectors, temperature sensors, promotional items & displays or any freight, and labour.
This warranty does not cover damage incurred in shipping or handling, problems that result from external causes such as accident, abuse, and misuse, or problems with electrical power failures, or other damage caused by:

24 Limited Warranty Statement
Multicom does not install or connect the products, which may be used in conjunction with other products not manufactured by Multicom; therefore
Multicom cannot guarantee or warrant the performance of the security system. Multicom will not be responsible for circumstances resulting from the product’s inability to operate. Your security system should be considered as one of many tools available to reduce risk and/or damage caused by burglary, fire or other emergencies. Other tools include, but are not limited to, access controls, lock products, insurance coverage, fire prevention, fire extinguishing devices and sprinkler systems. We strongly recommend that your security alarm system be tested and maintained on
a regular basis, and that you stay aware of new and improved Multicom products and developments.
BEWARE: Dealers, installers and/or others selling, distributing or advertising
Multicom product(s) are not authorised to modify this warranty or make any additional warranties that are binding on Multicom or distributors and its affiliates without the written approval from Multicom.
Multicom may change the terms of its limited warranty, without notice, at its discretion.
WARNING: Due to limitations of Alarm Systems, Multicom cannot guarantee the performance of the security system and shall not be responsible for circumstances resulting from the product’s inability to operate. It must be understood that while your Multicom product is highly advanced and secure, it only forms part of your total security installation and it does not offer any guaranteed protection against burglary, fire or other emergency. This is due to a number of reasons, including, but not limited to, inadequate or improper installation/positioning, sensor limitations, battery performance, wireless signal interruption, inadequate maintenance, or the potential for communication mediums to be compromised or circumvented. As a result, Multicom does not represent that the alarm system will prevent personal injury or property damage, or in all cases provide adequate warning or protection. Your security system
Limited Warranty Statement 25 should therefore be considered as one of many tools available to reduce risk and/or damage of burglary, fire or other emergencies; such other tools include, but are not limited to insurance coverage, fire prevention and extinguisher devices, and sprinkler systems. We also strongly recommend you to regularly maintain your security systems and stay aware of new and improved Multicom products and developments. For those customers who are using a security system connected to a non-traditional telephone system, such as “Voice Over Internet Protocol” (VoIP) that converts the voice signal from your telephone to a digital signal travelling over the
Internet, you should be aware that your alarm system may not function as effectively as with traditional telephone systems. For example, if your VoIP equipment has no battery back-up, during a power failure your system’s ability to transmit signals to the central station may be compromised.
Or, if your VoIP connection becomes disabled, your telephone line monitoring feature may also be compromised. Other concerns would include, without limitation, Internet connection failures, which may be more frequent than regular telephone line outages. We therefore strongly recommend that you discuss these and other limitations involved with operating an alarm system on a VoIP or other non-traditional telephone system with your installation company. They should be able to offer or recommend measures to reduce the risks involved and give you a better understanding. The Multicom range of communication products are designed to detect all communication failures within the network and are designed to work effectively around traditional telephone systems in addition to Non-Traditional Telephony such as VoIP, GPRS, 3G and new communication mediums including the (NBN) National Broadband
Network.
