Frequently asked questions

AUX mode allows you to program the remote to control devices other than TV, VCR, or DVD player, such as a tuner or amplifier. To program in AUX mode, press 0 before entering the TV code, 1 before entering the VCR code, or 2 before entering the tuner/amplifier code.

The document provides tables containing manufacturer codes for each device type. You can either enter the code directly or use the Power Scan feature to find the correct code.

If your equipment brand is not listed or if the codes do not work, the remote may not control your equipment. In some cases, codes may operate some but not all buttons.

You can read back the codes by pressing and holding the mode button until all mode buttons light up, then releasing and pressing POUND (#) twice. The mode button will flash a number of times for each digit of the device code.

Limited Mode keeps the customer from accidentally changing the channel on their TV. When Limited Mode is enabled, only the POWER, MUTE, and VOLUME buttons will work with the TV.

To program Limited Mode for a TV, enter the TV code and then press 1 and POUND (#). The same procedure can be used for a VCR or DVD player.
