Important safety PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! Read and understand all instructions before using this tool. Keep this
manual for the safety warnings and precautions, operating, inspection and maintenance
instructions. When using this tool, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of personal injury and/or damage to the equipment.
WORK AREA
1. Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
2. Operate in a safe work environment. Do not use in damp or wet locations. Do not use in the presence of
flammable gases or liquids.
3. Keep children, bystanders and visitors away from the work area. Do not let them handle the meat
grinder. No one should be in the work area if they are not wearing suitable protective equipment.
4.Store unused equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to prevent rust. Always
lock up tools and keep them out of reach of children.
Personal safety
1.Do not over reach; keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enables
better control of the grinder in unexpected situations.
2.Dress properly, wear protective equipment. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in
moving parts. Wear a hairnet or tie back long hair.
3.Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use your common sense. Do not operate any machine or tool
when you are tired, under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications.
Tool use and care
1.Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool to do the work of a larger industrial tool.
The tool will perform better and more safely at the task for which it was intended. Do not modify this grinder
or use for a purpose for which it was not designed.
2.Maintain with care. Keep the meat grinder clean, sharp and in good condition for a better and safer
performance. Inspect fittings and alignment periodically and, if damaged, have them repaired by an
authorized technician or replaced. A properly maintained tool reduces the risk of binding and is easier to
control. Sharp blades are safer than blades which have become dull because you do not have to apply
excessive amounts of force to make your cuts. Applying excessive force can lead to slips and damage to
your work or personal injury.
3.Avoid unintentional starts. Be sure that the ignition switch is in the OFF position when not in use and before
connecting it to any power source. Do not carry the grinder with fingers near or on the switch.

SERVICE
1.Check for damaged parts. Before using the grinder, any part that appears to be damaged should be
carefully checked to determine if it will operate properly and perform its intended functions. Check
for alignment and binding of moving parts, for broken parts or mounting fixtures, or for any other condition
that may affect proper operation. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by a
qualified technician.
2.When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Only use accessories intended for use with this
tool. Replace damaged parts immediately.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
1.Disconnect power supply. Disconnect from power supply when not in use, before cleaning, servicing or
changing any parts or accessories.
2. Double insulated tools are equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a polarized outlet. Do not change the plug in any
way. Double insulation eliminates the need for a three wire grounded power cord and grounded power supply
system.
3. Grounded tools must be plugged into a properly installed and grounded outlet in accordance with
all codes and ordinances. Never remove the grounding prong or modify the plug in any way. Do not use
any adapter plugs. Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly
grounded. If the tool should electronically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance
path to carry electricity away from the user.
4.Do not expose the electric meat grinder to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the grinder will increase
the risk of electric shock.
5.Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the grinder or pull the plug from an outlet. Keep cord
away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Do not operate this tool if the power cord is frayed or
damaged. Replace damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords increase the risk of electric shock. Do not
modify the plug in any way.
6.Avoid using an unnecessarily long extension cord. Choose a cord that is appropriate for the situation, as
a cord that is too long and running across the floor can be more dangerous than helpful. Using a cord that is
too long or too thin could damage the tool. Unroll the cord completely to prevent it from overheating.
Specific safety Instructions
1.Never put the unit near a hot burner, in an oven, or in a dishwasher.
2. Keep hands, hair, clothing and utensils away from moving discs during operation to reduce the risk
of personal injury and/or damage to the electric meat grinder. Never put your fingers near the food
chute while the grinder is in operation. Do not use your fingers to scrape food away from the cutting blade
while the grinder is in operation. Never load the meat by hand, always use the pusher. The cutting blade
is sharp and you could get seriously hurt if you touch it accidently. Handle the grinder with care both when
using and when cleaning.
3.Do not use outdoors.
4. Place the appliance on a firm and stable surface. Ensure that the grinder is not placed close to the edge
of the table, worktop, etc. where it could be accessed by children, pushed off or fall.
5.Do not use unauthorized accessories with the grinder. The use of attachments not recommended or sold
by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
6.Never use abrasive cleaning agents or abrasive cloths when cleaning the unit.
7. Only use the unit when completely assembled.
8.Do not leave the electric meat grinder unattended while it is connected to it's power source.
9.Before using for the first time, wash all of the grinder's parts.

Assembly
1.Make sure the unit is unplugged while assembling.
2. Place the grinder/feeder head tightly into the attachment opening. Holding the head with one hand,
place the locking knob into the hole on the side of the motor housing and tighten it by turning it clockwise.
3. Place the feed screw into the grinder tube, long end of the spindle first. Turn it slightly until it is set into
motor housing.
4. Position the cutting blade onto the feed screw shaft with the blade facing out. If it is not fitted properly,
meat will not be ground and the cutting plate may be permanently damaged.
5. Position the desired cutting plate onto the flat sides of the cutting blade. Ensure that the notches of the
cutting plate fit into the slots of the grinder/feeder head.
6.Secure the screw ring to the end of the grinder/feeder head by turning it clockwise.
7. Place the die-cast hopper on the grinder/feeder head.

Reverse Switch
If the motor slows or stops, this may be due to jammed food. Immediately switch the motor to its “OFF” position.
Press the reverse switch to push the food in the opposite directions. Release the reverse switch and turn the meat
grinder “ON” again. If the meat grinder jams again, you may need to clean the individual components. Switch it
“OFF”, unplug it, disassemble the grinder head and clean the internal components.
Cutting Plates
Select the cutting plate that is appropriate for your task.
• Fine Cutting Plate – Great for spreads, pâtés, baby food, and hamburgers.
• Medium Cutting Plate – Great for ground meat used in soups, or for relishes.
• Coarse Cutting Plate – Great for ground meat used in chili, or for vegetables.

1.Before using the grinder for the first time, wash all of the individual components of the meat grinder.
2.Cut food into strips or cubes slightly smaller than the opening on the die-cast hopper.
3. Place the electric meat grinder on a stable work surface. Make sure it is out of children's reach and in no
risk of falling or tipping over.
4.Make sure the ON/OFF/REVERSE Switch is in the “OFF” position.
5.Insert the plug into the wall outlet.
6. Place a wide, shallow bowl or plate beneath the grinder tube to the catch food.
7.Switch the appliance to the “ON” position. Always make sure the electric meat grinder is “ON” before
adding food to grind.
8. Place food on the die-cast hopper and use the pusher to feed food through the opening. Use the food
pusher to gently feed food, one piece at a time. Do not force the food into the grinder/feeder head.
making sausages
The sausage attachments allow you to blend meats and spices for homemade sausages. Seasoned meat
cubes can either be pre-ground and then stuffed into sausage casings, or they can be ground and stuffed
simultaneaously, as follows.
1.If you have purchased dry casings, they must be soaked in cold water, or a mixture of 2 cups (500ml)
water and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of vinegar, until they become soft and pliable. Soak for approximately 1
hour changing water 3 times to rinse salt off.
2.Meats should be cut into cubes that will fit through the die-cast hopper opening and mixed with
seasonings before making sausages.
3. Place seasoned meat cubes into the die-cast hopper and turn the unit “ON”. Push the meat cubes in
the die-cast hopper opening with the pusher until the mixture appears at the end of the sausage attachment.
Turn the unit “OFF” and tie a knot at the end of the 2" (5 cm) casing overhang.
4.Turn unit “ON” and feed the meat cubes into the Die Cast Hopper opening until all the meat cubes
have been used or the casing is approximately 2" (5 cm) from being completely full.
5.Turn the unit “OFF”, remove the end of the casing from the Sausage attachment, and tie a knot in the
open end of the casing. If air bubbles have formed, use a knife or needle to burst them.
6.Sausages can be made to the desired length by twisting the casing at intervals.
NOTE:
To avoid over-stretching and splitting the casing, do not make the sausages too thick. The meat mixture
will expand slightly during cooking. Keep the casing moist by watering it frequently. This will prevent it from
splitting while making the sausages
helpful hints
1.Cut food into strips or cubes slightly smaller than the opening on the die-cast hopper.
2.Make sure food is free of bone, tough tendon, nutshells, etc. before grinding.
3.Raw meat and fish should be thoroughly chilled (not frozen) before grinding to reduce the loss of
juices. Freshly ground meat should be refrigerated and cooked within 24 hours.
4.During extended grinding, fats from meats can build up inside the grinder tube, slowing down grinding
and straining the motor. If this happens, you should stop the electric meat grinder, wash the components
thoroughly in hot water, and reassemble. When possible, alternate between grinding stale bread and meat.
This helps keep the feed screw clean.
NOTE:
Grinding times may vary depending on the type of meat. For best grinding performance, the meat must be
placed in the freezer for no longer than 30 minutes (you must be able to easily pierce it with the tip of a knife).
