there is not enough water in the tank by means of a luminous
alert message on the control panel buttons.
For further information about the meaning of the alerts and the
luminous alarms, consult the “Alerts and Alarms” chapter (see
Page 22).
Once the water tank has been filled and if it has been removed,
replace it in the initial position and confirm that it has been correctly
fitted (see Fig. 4).
• Connect the electrical plug to an earthed socket.
Switch the On/Off general button which is located at the back
of the equipment.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Warning: Confirm that the equipment has been switched
off from the electrical socket before cleaning.
To avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the cable, plug or equipment in water, or any other liquid.
After each use always confirm whether the plug has been removed from the electrical socket.
You are recommended to periodically follow the steps below:
• Whenever possible, purge the equipment. Frequent use of the “Purge” operation ensures improved beverage quality and
proper equipment maintenance.
Consult “Purge” chapter (see Page 17).
• Use a dry cloth to clean the water tank.
• The used capsules collection tank, the cup tray and the drip basin may be washed in water and dried with a soft cloth.
• Clean the outer surfaces of the equipment with a damp cloth.
• You must never immerse the equipment in water or any other
liquid.
23
EN INSTRUCTIONS AND MODE OF USE
DESCALING
In order to keep your coffee machine working efficiently you must
regularly clean the mineral deposits (scale) produced by the water.
You must bear in mind the water quality (hard or soft water) in
your usage area and how frequently the equipment is used.
You are recommended to carry out equipment descaling every
three months, or after approximately 200 Delta Q capsule
extractions.
Follow the safety instructions shown on the Delta Q descaling kit
packaging.
Avoid contact of the descaling solution with eyes, skin, machine
and surrounding surfaces.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
The equipment does not switch on.
Confirm whether the electrical plug has been fitted into the respective socket
The control buttons do not work
properly and whether the On/Off general button is appropriately switched.
The lever does not close completely.
Check whether a capsule has been retained inside the extraction unit.
Open and close the lever again until observing that the extraction unit is clear
and unblocked.
The capsule gets stuck in the capsule housing.
Check whether the used capsule tank is full. Where necessary, empty it and put
the empty tank back in its specified position.
Luminous alerts appear which are not described
in the manual.

QOOL
ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Energy
Delta Q is committed to designing and producing innovative, high
performance machines which are easy to use.
To improve the energy performance of the machine, improvements
and functions were introduced which seek to reduce energy
consumption: the machine goes into Standby mode automatically
after 10 minutes without being used. For further information
about this function consult “Standby Mode” (see Page 17).
Environment
Help us protect the environment!
• Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for information
regarding the collection systems available. If electrical
appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps,
hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into
the food chain, damaging your health and well-being.
• Delta Q is committed to recycling used capsules.
Consult our website: mydeltaq.com to obtain further information
about how to recycle Delta Q used capsules or contact the Customer Service and Support (011 800 20 50 20 50).
