GB 7. GETTING STARTED
Plug the receiver into the mains socket. Start the receiver with the button “ON/
STANDBY” on the remote control or with the button “POWER” on the front of the receiver. In the standby mode the LED light is “RED”, and in the operating mode “RED/
YELLOW”.
The receiver comes with pre-programmed television channels and is ready for use immediately. If you want to see whether new channels are available, enable the channel search feature. You can read more about this feature below.
To switch to standby mode, press the red button in the upper left corner of the remote control. The current time is displayed. The receiver uses only about 2 watts in standby mode. For current standards, this is a very low power consumption rate.
8. USING THE RECEIVER
8.1 On-screen info display when changing channels
Each time you change the channel, an info screen is displayed for 5 seconds. This screen provides the following information:
TXT symbol
EPG symbol
Heart symbol
Info
Name of channel
Current date
Beginning time and endtime of current/next program
Available memory
Displayed if the selected broadcast station offers teletext
Displayed if the selected broadcast station offers the
Electronic Programme Guide
Displayed if you have added this channel to a Favourites
List
About currently active Channel List
