4 Button Customisation
The authors current preferences for the Raw/Fx and AF/AE-L buttons are
Digital Preview and AE Lock respectively. The following describes how to achieve this:
4.1
RAW/Fx
This is customised to digital preview with histogram display as follows:
MENU
→ 4
↓ Button Customization
OK ↓ RAW/Fx
OK OK ↓ Digital Preview
↓ Histogram Display and select
OK and repeated MENU to exit
Now, pressing RAW/Fx displays a preview on the rear screen with a histogram.
The rear e-dial can be used to magnify the preview image to check focus. Pressing the OK button returns to the exposure mode screen so a correction can be made if necessary; or half depressing the shutter button ends preview and invokes autofocus.
Alternative RAW/Fx options are:
• File Format – JPEG or RAW (default)
• Exposure Bracketing
• Optical Preview
• Composition Adjustment
• AF Active Area
4.2
AF/AE-L
This is customised to AE lock as follows:
MENU
→ 4
↓ Button Customization
OK ↓ AF/AE-L
OK OK ↓ AE Lock
OK and repeated MENU to exit
Now, pressing AF/AE-L locks the exposure setting until the button is pressed again, or the camera goes into standby or is switched off.
Alternative AF/AE-L options are:
• Autofocus with both the shutter button and AF/AE-L (AF1) (default)
• Autofocus only with AF/AE-L (AF2)
• Stop shutter button autofocus when AF/AE-L pressed
