Troubleshooting

The following table provides corrective action for possible trouble situations. If further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron customer service representative.

SWAMPE-8 Troubleshooting

TROUBLE

Audio dropouts are heard on a

SWAMPE output zone.

Device loses functionality due to electrostatic discharge.

An incorrect audio signal is heard.

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)

There is a bad (or missing) shield on the Sonnex cable connecting the SWAMP-24X8 and the peripheral device.

Ensure continuity and integrity of shield on both ends of the Sonnex cable.

Device is improperly grounded. Check that all ground connections have been made properly.

Signal is incorrectly routed.

Zone is incorrectly bussed with other zone(s).

CORRECTIVE

ACTION

Reroute the signal.

Remove the zone from the bus.

Check Wiring

To ensure optimum performance over the full range of the installation topology, use

Crestron Certified Wire. Failure to do so may incur additional charges if support is required to identify performance deficiencies because of using improper wire.
