1 Harware setup. Schneider Electric XGKS... / XGPS... Communication card, UNI-TELWAY and Modbus / Jbus protocols
The Schneider Electric XGKS.../XGPS... Communication card allows data exchange between different systems using UNI-TELWAY and Modbus/Jbus protocols. With this card, you can connect your XG field station to a multidrop bus, enabling control and monitoring of various functions such as reading and writing data, resetting counters, and performing diagnostics. Additionally, the card provides signaling LEDs for status indication, helping you quickly identify any issues.

1.1
Presentation
The XG field station can be connected to UNITELWAY and Modbus / Jbus networks.
It is supplied with a 2.5 meter connection cable equipped with two connectors :
• a 9-pin SUB-D connector for connection to the card
• a 15-pin SUB-D connector for connection to the bus
The XG field station can receive and respond to data messages.
This exchange of data provides access to certain functions of the XG field station, such as :
• Control
• Monitoring

6.2.2 Coding the network option card address
See diagram on page 5.
An XG field station is identified on the bus by its address, which is coded from 1 to 31.
The address corresponds to the binary number given by setting the switches c on the card to 1 or 0 (switches no.
3 to no.
7 are used).
The three other switches are not used.
Caution : The least significant bits are on the right.
