Storing food in the DailyFresh drawer
The DailyFresh drawer provides good storage conditions for fruit and vegetables.
The humidity level in the DailyFresh drawer can be regulated to suit the food being stored. Food retains its own moisture if stored at a higher humidity and so does not dry out as quickly. The temperature is approximately the same as in the standard refrigerator section.
Remember that the fresher the food when placed in the appliance, the longer it will stay fresh.
Regulating the humidity level in the DailyFresh drawer
Slide control at = humidity not increased
For hygiene reasons always keep food covered or wrapped with this setting.
Slide control at = humidity increased
This setting is suitable for storing fruit and vegetables.
The slide control closes the drawer vents so that the moisture present is retained.
The humidity level depends on the type and quantity of food being stored, if stored unwrapped.
The humidity can be too low if there is only a small amount stored in the drawer.
Tip: If you are only storing a small amount of food, wrap it in airtight packaging.
Increased humidity in the drawer can, in some circumstances, cause a build-up of condensate.
This should be removed with a cloth.
A slide control is used to regulate the amount of moisture present.
