Calling by the address book
From your vehicle, call from the address book registered in the portable telephone.

Press and hold the Rotary encoder for more than
2 seconds.
The Speed Dial display appears.

Press 7 (RETURN).
The Telephone menu display appears.

Press 2 (PHONE BOOK).
The Phone Book display appears.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select a receiver, then press the Rotary encoder .
The Select display appears.
• By pressing 1 (ALPHABET DN) or 2 (ALPHABET UP), the names are listed in alphabteical order.
• If no data is in the PHONE BOOK, "NO MEMORY" is displayed.
Press 7 (RETURN) to return to the Telephone menu display.

Press 1 ( ) to place the call.

To cut the call, press 2 ( ). Or the call is automatically cut in 5 seconds after finishing.
Calling by the outgoing / incoming / absent incoming history
You can place a call to one of the last 999 calls by the outgoing/ incoming/absent incoming history.

The Telephone menu display appears.

Press 3 (CALL LOG).
The Call log display appears.

Press either 1 (DIALED NUM.), 2 (MISSED
CALLS) or 3 (RECEIVE CALLS).
DIALED NUM.: Outgoing history list display
MISSED CALLS: Absent incoming history list display
RECEIVE CALLS: Incoming history list display
• If no history is registered to any of the lists, NO MEMORY is displayed.
To return to Telephone menu display, press 7 (RETURN).

Turn the Rotary encoder to select a receiver, then press the Rotary encoder.
The Select display appears.

Press 1 ( ) to start call.

SMS (Short Message Service) Operation
You can receive messages, show the contents of messages, and send standardized sentences.
When a message is received, an icon is indicated on the display.
Receiving a Short Message

Press the Rotary encoder for more than 2 seconds.
The Speed Dial display appears.

Press 7 (RETURN).
The Telephone menu display appears.

Press 5 (SMS READ).
The SMS Read display appears.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select one of the received message.

Press the Rotary encoder.
The SMS Inbox display appears.
The contents of the received message is displayed up to
140 letters.
REPLY: Replies to the sender by return mail.
Standardized sentences can be selected in the display (refer to “Sending a
Standardized Sentence,” page 43).
USE NUMBER: Replies to the sender by phone. The
Select display appears. Place a call by pressing 1 ( ).
RETURN: Returns to the SMS Read display.
• When the unit receives a message, the new reception icon appears.
