Clearing a jammed document
If the original document doesn’t feed properly during transmission or copying, or DOCUMENT JAMMED appears in the display, first try pressing the document doesn't feed out, remove it as explained below.

Slowly open the operation panel until it is half open.

Flip up the green levers on each side of the white roller.

Gently remove the document.

Open the print compartment cover.

Press as shown and pull the cover toward you.

Gently pull the jammed paper out of the machine, making sure no torn pieces of paper remain in the print compartment or rollers.

Close the print compartment cover.

Close the operation panel, pressing down firmly on both front corners to make sure it clicks into place.

Sending Faxes
Place your document
(up to 20 pages) face down in the document feeder.
Normal dialling
1. Lift the handset or press SPEAKER .
2. Dial the fax number.
3. Wait for the reception tone (if a person answers, ask them to press their Start key).

Transmission will begin automatically.
