4.4.3 System Upgrade
NP725 provides Web firmware upload/upgrade feature. While the new firmware is obtained, it has to put locally in the administrator’s computer. The users can easily download the latest firmware from the website and upgrade the system. To upgrade the system firmware, click Browse button to choose the new firmware file and then click Upload button to execute the process. There will be a prompt confirmation message appearing to notify the administrator to restart the system after successful firmware upgrade.
Although the system will check the firmware's contents to ensure its integrity, it is still recommended to check the version number before action proceeded.
Please note that firmware upgrade may sometime result in loss of some data. Please ensure that all necessary settings are written down before upgrading the firmware. Please restart the system after upgrading the firmware.
Please make sure you have the correct firmware file. During firmware upgrade, do not power on/off the system during the upgrade or the restart process as it may permanently damage this AP.
