► In the N AVIGATION window tap on (More) > Navigation

Settings > General. Under Activate MyRoutes select whether you want the MyRoutes function to be available or not (Yes or No).

Start

► Tap on the button of the route which you want to use for the navigation.

If you have selected the value On Request for the Route Optimisation setting, then you may be notified of traffic incidents before the

navigation starts (see "Route Optimisation: On Request" on page 78).

No GPS reception

If GPS signal reception is not good enough, the following message will appear: "GPS reception is currently not sufficient. Navigation starts automatically as soon as GPS reception is OK again."

You have the following options:

Wait. As soon as GPS reception is good enough for determining your position, the route will be recalculated and navigation will begin.

Tap on Cancel. The map opens in Route preview mode.

Working with the map

Selecting the navigation map

Each country has its own navigation map. Seamless navigation over several maps on one continent is possible however if a continuous route can be calculated with the maps saved on the device.

Even if maps of countries in other continents are available on the navigation device, it can only ever work with the maps of a single continent.

In the N AVIGATION window tap on (More) > Navigation

Settings > Map Display > Countries in to see which maps are currently in use. Here you can also select a different continent if the navigation device contains any maps of countries on other continents.

Map in Standard mode

The map is always in Standard mode when you are not navigating, have not calculated a route and are not searching for a destination on the map.

Under the following circumstances the map switches automatically to
