4 Mounting into a rack
1. Take out the KVM and check the package content for completeness or damages.
In case of missing parts or external damages, please contact your local dealer for replacement.
Please keep the original package for shipping in case of warranty case.
2. Take care to shut down all devices first.
3. Takeout the rackmount brackets and fix them with three screws each.
4. Fix the Rackmount KVM into the rack. The needed screws are not in the scope of delivery of the KVM but from the rack.

5.1 Direct connection
1. Connect a network cable to the KVM using ports 7 (look at pos. 3.4). Follow max. length of 50m. We recommend to use network cable Cat5e or up.
2. Connect the other side of the network cable with the dongle.
3. Connect the dongle with the monitor and USB port of the computer.
4. Repeat this for every computer.
5. Connect Monitor, keyboard and mouse with your console.
6. Connect the external power adapter with the KVM and with the electric grid.
7. The installation is complete.
Tip:
5.2 Cascading
1. Connect the computers like written before.
2. Connect Monitor, keyboard and mouse with your console.
3. Connect another KVM from Argus series, using the console port 5 (look at pos.
3.4).
4. Connect further computers with the additional KVM.
The KVM will always access to the first port. Either from first KVM or (if connected) from last KVM, if several KVMS are linked.
