VIRTUA FIGHTER™ 2

One year has passed since eight of the toughest, fastest fighters challenged each other in the World Fighting

Tournament.

now the call has come for the second World Fighting tournament. Who will emerge victorious this time?

GAME CONTROLLER COMPATIBILITY

Any Windows compatible game controller can be used with the SEgA genesis Classics games, as long as it has a D-pad and a minimum of 4 other assignable buttons. the game will recognize any number of controllers attached to your PC, and they can be assigned to either Player 1 or Player 2.

Please refer to the documentation that came with your game controller for information on how to install it on your PC. to set up a game controller for the SEgA genesis Classics games, use the following steps:

Start SEgA genesis Classics.

Select Options from the main menu.

■ ■ in the input Configuration section, select your game controller from the drop down menu for Player 1 or

Player 2.

Click the ‘Assign controller mapping’ button.

Press the buttons on your game controller that you’d like to assign to buttons A, B, C, X, Y, Z, Start and

Mode, in that order (note: the X, Y, Z and Mode buttons will not be available if your pad has fewer than 8 buttons).

BAsIC CONTROLs

D-button: Move.

Start button: Start game, Pause game.

A button: guard.

B button: Punch.

C button: Kick.

ADVANCED CONTROLs

MOVING

Use the D-button left and right to move forwards and backwards, up to jump, and down to crouch. Combine these to jump or crouch forwards or backwards.

SPECIAL ATTACKS

Experiment with combinations of the D-button, Guard, Punch and Kick to find special moves to overpower your opponent.

GETTING sTARTED

From the title Screen, press StARt to display the Main Menu as follows:

ARCADE MODE: A single player game.

VS MODE:

A two player competitive game.

OPTIONS:

Make changes to game settings.

OPTIONs

Use the D-button up/down to select a category, and left/right to make changes.

LIFE GAUGE:

Set the amount of damage you take per hit from Smallest to Largest. nO DAMAgE makes your fighter invincible to attack.

MATCh POINT: Set the number of wins needed to decide a match.

TIME LIMIT:

Set the length of each fighting round. nO

LiMit gives you the freedom to pulverize your opponent at your own pace.

ENEMY LEVEL: Set the skill level of CPU opponents.

KEY ASSIGN:

Change the key configurations for Guard, Punch and Kick.

SOUND TEST:

Listen to music, voices and sound effects used in the game.

GAME RULEs

there are three rounds per match by default. the first player to win two rounds is the match winner. there are two ways to win.

1) Reduce your opponent’s Life gauge to zero (“K.O.”).

2) Force your opponent out of the ring (“Ring OUt”).

if neither condition is met before the time Limit is reached (“tiME

OVER”), the player with the longer Life gauge wins.

SECOND PLAYER ENTRY

A second player can join during Arcade Mode by pressing StARt on a second controller. “Challenger Comes” will be displayed on screen followed by the Character Select screen. the winner continues the Arcade Mode game from the beginning of the interrupted stage.

GAME OVER

Fail to win a match in Arcade Mode and the game will end. Press StARt before the countdown runs out to retry from the round you last played.

WARRANTY: SEgA Europe Limited warrants to the original buyer of this game (subject to the limitation set out below), that this game will perform under normal use substantially as described in the accompanying manual for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of first purchase. this limited warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have statutory or other rights under your local jurisdiction which remain unaffected.

WARRANTY LIMITATION: this warranty shall not apply if this game is used in a business or commercial manner and/or if any defect or fault result from your (or someone acting under your control or authority) fault, negligence, accident, abuse, virus, misuse or modification of the game after purchase.
