●
Tools
Use the following tools to monitor and control color printing access.
Tool Description
HP Embedded Web
Server
HP Web Jetadmin
The embedded Web server is a Web-browser-based utility that provides an interface to the printer that you can use to change printer settings, including color access control settings. No special software needs to be installed or configured. It allows you to set color printing restrictions and view a log of color printing use. The embedded Web server is designed for oneto-one printer configuration monitoring and management.
HP Web Jetadmin provides a simple, comprehensive way to manage network peripherals and optimize printing productivity. Key printer information helps network administrators keep network printers functioning smoothly, and anticipate and resolve problems with minimal user impact.
HP Web Jetadmin is designed for network administrators to monitor and manage an entire fleet of printers.
HP Easy Printer Care software
HP Easy Printer Care software provides a way to check printer and supplies status, set up alerts, view printer documentation, and troubleshoot from a computer. In addition, it allows you to track and print reports on color printing use. HP Easy Printer Care is designed for monitoring and managing a small group of printers.
The color usage job log shows color and monochrome print job statistics for a printer.

Monochrome print driver The monochrome print driver limits user access to the color printing capabilities of an HP Color
LaserJet printer.
Printer control panel The printer control panel allows you to restrict color access.
