Sanding Sealer

will completely seal hard and soft wood grains plus plywood, particleboard and masonite. For further protection, apply an additional topcoat with Lanco ® nitrocellulose or acrylic lacquer.

Surface Preparation:

All surfaces must be dry, clean and free of contaminants such as dirt, grease, chalk, oil, wax, mildew, old finish, and dust.

Application in New Wood:

1. Stir contents thoroughly before using and frequently during use

2. Apply generously with spray, brush or roller. The best method on all surfaces is by spray.

3. When surface becomes dry, lightly sand the wood in the direction of the grain using a thin grade sandpaper (#220). Remove all dust with a vacuum or damped cloth, before applying finish coat.

4. If contents become contaminated or a membranous layer forms on the surface of the gallon, due to previously opened container, pour through a paint filter into a new clean flask.

Application Method:

Brush: Use a good quality nylon or polyester brush.

Roller: Use a Lanco ® All Purpose 3/8” Nap Roller PA-566. Roller application may require special care to prevent bubbling.

Conventional Spray: For suction feed, use a DeVilbiss MBC gun with an ‘E” tip and needle and 30 air cap or equivalent at 35-40 psi atomizing pressure.

For pressure feed, use a DeVilbiss MBC gun with an “E” tip and needle and

704 air cap or equivalent at 35-40 psi atomizing pressure and 5-8 psi fluid pressure, 3/8” ID material hose, double-regulated pressure tank with oil and moisture separator.

Airless Spray : Minimum of 28:1 ratio pump 0.011”-0.013” orifice tip, 1/4”

ID Teflon material hose.

Limitations: Apply in good weather when air and surface temperatures are above 70 0 F and surface temperature is at least 5 0 F (- 15 0 C) above the dew

0 point. For optimum application properties, material should be between 70

F and 100 0 F (21 0 C and 38 0 C) prior to mixing and application. This sealer is for application to unfinished wood surfaces only, and must not be top-coated with a varnish or a polyurethane coating, to topcoat use only a nitrocellulose or an acrylic lacquer.

Cleaning: Clean the equipment used with Lanco ® Lacquer Thinner LT-102.

Caution: Contains petroleum distillate. Non-photochemical reactive. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. Avoid prolonged contact with skin and breathing of vapor or spray mist. Close container after each use. Do not transfer content to unlabeled bottles or other containers. Use only with adequate ventilation. Keep out of reach of children.
