If you run out of battery then you can still use the headset by moving the switch on the back of the headset to passive mode. In this mode audio and the microphone will still function but no controls will be operative.

EN 1. On the PS4™, go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices > Output to Headphones
2. Select “All Audio”
3. Go to Volume Control (Headphones) and adjust the volume to the maximum setting.
