Stellung „OFF“ stehen (Standardeinstellung bei Auslieferung).
OFF - ON – OFF – ON – OFF

•

Changing settings via the PC software or DIP switches during operation is also permitted in
Zone 2 and on circuits carrying intrinsically-safe input signals.
10.3 2-wire calibration
When connecting resistance thermometers in a 2-wire circuit, calibration of the line impedance must be performed before putting the device in operation:
1. Short-circuit the resistance thermometer directly at the sensor.
2. Check whether the compensation function is activated: The lateral DIP switch S2-12 must be in position "OFF" (default factory setting)
3. Use the front-facing DIP switch ADJ1 (channel 1) or ADJ2 (channel 2) to balance the line impedance:
Within approx. 10 seconds, switch the DIP switch “ADJ” on and off as follows:
OFF - ON – OFF – ON – OFF
4. The green "PWR" LED flashes for 5 seconds if the calibration was successful. The green “PWR” LED switches for a short time off if the calibration was not successful.
10.4 Connection of resistance transmitter / potentiometer
The measurement „potentiometer“ is a 3-wire potentiometer. The result is a relative value of the taper. Set-up in the ISpac Wizard:

10.5 Cold junction compensation a) External cold junction compensation in two-tier terminal
In order to guarantee a high accuracy of the temperature measurement using thermocouples, we recommend to use an external cold junction compensation. The cold junction is installed separately from the sensor and the transmitter on a DIN rail. It ensures that the implemented Pt100 sensor is able to detect the temperature accurately.
The accuracy is based on the given accuracy of the applied Pt100 Class B.

English b) External cold junction compensation in compact screw terminal on device
The CJC-terminal (CJC-Cold Junction Compensation) is focused on application with very limited space in the cabinet.
Order number: Single/dual channel devices 9191/VS-05
Installation
1. Please remove the preinstalled removable terminals for the field circuit channel #1 (pin
10, 11,12 – see marking on the devices) by means of a screw driver.
2. Install the supplied CJC-terminal instead of the preinstalled terminal
3. Connect the preinstalled wire of the CJC-terminal with pin 14 of the below installed terminal.
(1.) (2.) (3.)
Notes:
•
The temperature transmitter needs to be set acc. to the application. In case of the application “thermocouple” you have to select the type of thermocouple used and the compensation has to be set to “External”. This can be done by setting the lateral DIP switch or by the software ISpac Wizard.
•
Please set the DIP switch number 12 to “1” in order to activate the function “External cold junction compensation”. Please find the details in the chapter 10.2.
•
The CJC-terminal offers a typical accuracy of +/- 1K. The accuracy can reach values of
+/- 2K in adverse mounting positions i.e. several units mounted in vertical position without ventilation). Please take additionally the error limits of the device into consideration.

English Operating Instruction
10.6 Set-up of the limit value switch
The limit value switch has to be configured by the software ISpac Wizard. The following scheme illustrates different ways to set-up the thresholds of the relay contacts A and B.
The scheme is an example, other set-ups are possible:
Limit value A
Limit value A - Hysteresis
Limit value B +Hysteresis
Limit value B
Set-up in the ISpac Wizard:
„closes if value > limit value“
„opens if value > limit value“ t
„closes if value < limit value“
„opens if value < limit value“
In case of a detected line fault the relays are de-energized means the contacts are open.
10.7 Reset lockout function
The reset lockout function has to be configured by the software ISpac Wizard. The relay contact is remaining in the working position (i.e. NO contact remains closed) even if the process value is returning to value which is below or above the set point. The reset lockout function avoids that the operator miss a detected threshold event.
Selection

Description
Default set-up – function disabled
“active - PWRST”
(new with Rev.B

“active”
Function as described above. The selected operating mode (“open” or “closes” see chapter 10.6.) is kept even if the trigger is not available. The re-closing lockout function is reset by actuating the
DIP switch LF1 or LF2 (ON-OFF-ON or OFF-ON-OFF) or a short disruption of the power supply.
The limit value contact holds the status defined in chapter 7.6 means e.g. “opens if value > limit value, that the contact opens in case of power supply failure.
Function is only available for operating mode „ opens if value > limit value” or „opens if value < limit value“. The re-closing lockout function is still in place even if the power supply is disrupted.
The re-closing lockout function is ONLY reset by actuating the DIP switch LF1 or LF2 (ON-OFF-
ON or OFF-ON-OFF). The limit value contact opens in any case if a line fault is detected.
11 Operation and operational states
