SECTION 5:
SMARTCAST
COMMISSIONING
NOTE: Cree Lighting recommends reviewing the Cree Lighting SmartCast Technology
Wireless Deployment Guide prior to installing luminaires with Cree Lighting
SmartCast Technology.
NOTE:
• Visit Cree Lighting’s website for the guide: www.creelink.com/exLink.asp?2361356
4OH88E44I39771048&view=1
NOTE: SmartCast luminaires must be installed on unswitched AC power. Constant power is required to maintain all luminaires on the Smartcast network. If wall control or manual dimming is required, a SmartCast wall control dimmer must be used for manual on, off, and dimming.
NOTE: Before beginning fixture installation or OneButton Setup, it is important to consider the use of spaces and what luminaires will be grouped together. Cree
Lighting recommends turning on AC power to luminaires that should be grouped together and then initiating the OneButton
Setup while the remaining luminaires are switched off of AC power. It is recommended to commission one group first and then turn AC power on to the second group and continue until all luminaries are commissioned.
NOTE: Continuous rows with SmartCast ship with a dedicated sensor per fixture except for corners. Corners ship with accessible dimming leads that need to be wired into the adjacent luminaire so that the corner luminaire is controlled by the sensor of the adjacent runner. Locate dimming leads between adjacent fixture driver and sensor.
Connect corner dim leads into adjacent dimming leads.
