Introduction

This document provides an example for migrating IMC to a new master server and a new subordinate server from a master server.

Configuration restrictions and guidelines

When you configure IMC deployment migration, follow these restrictions and guidelines:

To ensure the success of restoring the database, you must install the same versions of IMC platform and components on server B as on server A.

To avoid the report function failure, you must start IMC after it is installed on the master server and subordinate server before restoring the database.

Example: Configuring IMC deployment migration

This example is applicable to deployment migration of all IMC components except UAM/EAD and

NTA/UBA. Perform UAM/EAD or NTA/UBA deployment migration separately after you complete deployment migration for other IMC components.

For more information about the deployment migration of UAM/EAD, see " Appendix A UAM/EAD deployment migration ."

For more information about the deployment migration of NTA/UBA, see " Appendix B NTA/UBA deployment migration ."

Network requirements

As shown in Figure 1 , the operation system installed on all servers is Windows Server 2012 R2 with

the SQL Server 2012 database. The administrator user name is sa and the password is iMC123 .

Move IMC to server B (master server) and server C (subordinate server) from server A as follows:

Move the BIMS component and VLANM component to the new subordinate server.

Move the other components to the new master server.
