SPECIFICATIONS
DETECTOR FEATURES
Infrared
counterfeit
detector DORS 1000 (henceforth – the detector) is
designed for visual authenticity control of bank notes,
documents, duty stamps and
securities. The main verification method is infrared control of shape and location of
IR-marks, i. e. images made
by IR-metameric inks. In
contrary with ultraviolet protection, the infrared marks
can be easily visualized; it
means great relief for
cashier’s eyes. The detector
makes possible to perform
visual control under any illumination providing quick and
high quality detection of the
bank notes, including the
fan-like arranged notes.
The detector has wide
screening zone (Fig.2) and
contrast display. Due to it
you will become familiar with
DORS 1000 quick and easy.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1.To avoid a shock hazard,
do not insert or remove
the power plug with wet
hands.
2.Always use the power
adapter supplied with the
detector.
3. When removing the
power cable, handle it by
the cable plug to avoid the
cable damage.
4. When moving the detector, be sure to remove the
power plug from the
socket. Otherwise, fire or
short circuit may occur.
5.If the detector is not in
use for a long time, the
power switch should be
set to the “OFF” position
(Fig.1).
APPEARANCE
6.If the detector was
exposed to cold for a long
time, it is necessary to
maintain it under the room
temperature for at least
two hours before starting
operating.

7.To ensure long term durability of the detector without servicing, be sure to
observe the following
rules:

a. make sure that the
work surface is flat
and horizontal;
b. protect the detector
from direct sunlight
and accent lamp
light.

OPERATION
1. Strictly observe the following sequence, during
the detector is on:
a.Connect the power
adapter to the detector via the AC adapter
“PWR” jack (Fig. 1).
b.Connect the power
adapter to the wall
outlet.
2. Set the power switch to
the “ON” position (setting time is 35 seconds).
While in the operating
mode, the luminous
screen displays
screening zone.

3. Place the bank note within the screening zone
shown in Fig. 2 and compare the image displayed
with the IR mark reference.
4.After completing the
work with detector, be
sure to set the power
switch to the “OFF” position.
Infrared control provides the detection of pic-
ture's fragments made by
IRmetameric inks.
Transportation and Storage
The detector should be
stored in the manufacturer’s
package in heated storehouses under the temperature from +5°С to +40°С
and relative air humidity not
exceeding 80% at +25°С.
The detector may be transported in the manufacturer’s
package by truck or railway
transport in containers or
house cars or by air transport
in the pressured compartments under the temperature from –30°С to +50°С,
relative air humidity not
exceeding 98% at +25°C
and pressure from 84 to 107
kPa (630 to 800 mm Hg).
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the screen is dark when
the power is on:
1.Check the proper connection of the adapter to the
detector and presence of
a line voltage.

adapter supplied by the
manufacturer.
If the above fails, contact
your local service center.
