It can be used with [TTL], [TTL-BL] and [WL TTL] flash modes. For the operation methods, refer to the camera user’s manual. REAR CURTAIN SYNCHRONIZATION The flash fires just before the shutter is closed. The light behind the moving subject and the path of the light can be captured; therefore, the photos can express the subject’s natural movement. It can be used with [TTL], [TTL-BL], [MANUAL], [GN-M], [WL TTL] and [WL MANUAL] Flash modes. When the rear curtain synchronization shooting is set on the camera, the mark is indicated in the status area. FP FLASH (High- speed Sync) Certain conditions of the flash are indicated by a sound, making them easy to recognize without having to look at the LCD panel. The FP flash keeps firing while the shutter curtain is running. Thus you can use a shutter speed faster than the synchronized speed. It can be used with [TTL], [TTL-BL], [MANUAL], [GN-M], [WL TTL] and [WL MANUAL] Flash modes. When the FP flash shooting is set on the camera, the mark is indicated in the status area. In [TTL] / [TTL-BL] mode, confirm that the subject is within the shooting range by checking the distance indicated in the Status area before you start shooting. Turn the BEEP switch on the front side of the main body to [ON]. (When it is turned to ON, the mark is displayed in the Status area.) One short beep Indicates the completion of charging. Two long beeps Too low or too high flash exposure value One long beep (2sec.) Error warning 32 In [MANUAL] mode, adjust the aperture, etc. before you start shooting so the distance to the subject and the distance indicated in the Status area match each other. The Guide Number will change depending on the shutter speed. (Please refer to [Table 3] on the last page.) RED-EYE REDUCTION FLASH When taking a picture with flash, sometimes the person’s eyes reflect the flashlight and will exhibit “red-eye” in the picture. If you use the “Red-eye reduction” function, the flash will blink for approximately 1 second before the shutter is released to reduce the “red-eye” effect. It can be used with [TTL], [TTL-BL], [MANUAL], [GN-M], [MULTI], [WL TTL], [WL MANUAL], [WL MULTI] and [FL CTAL] Flash modes. When the red-eye reduction shooting is set on the camera, the mark is indicated in the status area.
