Frequently asked questions

To install a microSD card, open the microSD card slot cover and insert the card into the slot until it clicks into place.

To replace the battery, locate the battery release latch on the back of the device and slide it to release the battery. Then, lift the battery out of the device and insert a new battery.

To enable Hot Swap mode, go to Settings > Battery > Hot Swap and enable the toggle switch.

How is data captured by the DataWedge utility transferred to applications?

Data capture is handled by the DataWedge utility, which converts barcode data into keystrokes. These are sent to the target application as if the data were copied and pasted or typed directly on the keypad.

What do the various LED light codes on the device signify?

A blinking amber LED indicates Hot Swap mode or a pre-charging battery. A solid blue LED signifies a notification or a Bluetooth connection. A green LED indicates a successful barcode decode. Blinking blue or green LEDs on connected scanners indicate pairing or connection attempts.
