WARNING

• If you have not performed the software installation mentioned in the previous chapter, be sure to install

ScanGear CS-S for Windows or Plug-in Module CS-S for

Macintosh. You cannot operate the scanner without this software.

• NOTE •

• The programs mentioned above should have been installed onto your computer with the procedures in the previous chapter. If they are not installed, you will need to install them. For details, please read Installing the Software (p. 20).

• Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 is a program that allows you to read the electronic manuals. It is not used to operate the scanner.
