This guide describes the upgraded software
(Android 2.1 with enhanced MOTOBLUR). To upgrade your phone, see www.motorola.com/backflip-eclair-upgrade . After the upgrade, you can:
• use 7 home screen panels (used to be 5): Flick your home screen left or right to see them.
• choose accounts: Open Happenings , Messages , or
Calendar
widgets and touch Menu .
• resize Motorola widgets: Touch and hold one, release it, the drag the arrows in the corners.
• choose from more widgets: Touch and hold an empty spot, then touch

TTY Mode
Your phone can use an optional teletypewriter (TTY) device, for people who are hard of hearing or have a speech impairment.

Emergency Calls
Note: Your service provider programs one or more emergency phone numbers (such as 911 or 112) that you can call under any circumstances, even when your phone is locked. Emergency numbers vary by country. Your pre-programmed emergency number(s) may not work in all locations, and sometimes an emergency call cannot be placed due to network, environmental, or interference issues.
