•
The learner curriculum record (SGBSTDN) cannot be deleted when that will result in the deletion of the study path, and the learner curriculum record is the last
SGBSTDN record.
•
An error occurs when one of the learner curriculum records has an associated study path and is also attached to a degree, and no other occurrences of the study path sequence number exist.
•
SGASTDN does not allow the deletion of the learner curriculum record when registration records exist.
•
The General Student Purge Process (SGPSTDN) and the Learner Curriculum
Purge Process (SOPLCPG) do not consider these issues when purging records. Both processes will delete the curriculum and study path records, even when a degree record exists. SGPSTDN does not delete general student records when registration records exist. SOPLCPG only deletes non-current, non-active curriculum records.
Study Path Conversion Scripts
Two conversion scripts are delivered for use with this processing. Both scripts are run from SQL*PLUS and are meant to be run once for the initial population of the study paths.
These scripts are optional and are not automatically run as part of the upgrade.
Note
Study paths are not created if the
Enable Study Paths
indicator on
SOACTRL is unchecked.
Study paths are not created if the
Study Path
indicator on SOACURR is unchecked for the curriculum rule.
susgrstsp_applicant.sql (Admissions)

The script uses the following parameters:
1.
Term - Application term to be used for the new study path.
Use either the Banner ID parameter or the Population Selection parameter. You cannot use both.
2.
Banner ID
3.
Population Selection - Application Code, Selection Identifier, Creator ID, User ID

The script performs the following tasks:
1.
Reads application records for the application term.
2.
Finds the maximum SGBSTDN term for the applicant.
The applicant is rejected if no SGBSTDN term exists, or if the SGBSTDN term does not equal the application term, or if the maximum SGBSTDN term is greater than the application term.
3.
Rejects the applicant if study paths already exist on the learner curriculum record created by the application.
4.
Creates the study path for the curriculum records that are associated with the application.
5.
Copies the curriculum record and inserts the field of study record with the curriculum status code of
STUDYPATH
from STVCSTS.
The new curriculum record will have the study path sequence number in place of the the key sequence number.
susgrstsp_enroll.sql (Enrollment)
This script reads SFBETRM records and creates study path records for each current/active curriculum record. For students without an SFBETRM record, it assigns study paths to all students with an application for a specified term.
The parameters for Banner ID and Pop Selection are optional. If you leave these blank, all students with an application and learner curriculum record for the term will be selected.
The script uses the following parameters.
1.
Term - Term for the new study path.
2.
Enrollment Term - SFBETRM the person must have to be included in the conversion.
Use either the Banner ID parameter or the Population Selection parameter. You cannot use both.
