Connection of RS-232 Communication Port

In addition to front panel control, the ANI-MOD matrix can be controlled through TCP/IP or RS-232 communication port.

This RS-232 communication port is a female 9-pin D connector. The de fi nition of its pins is as the table below.

Connection with Computer

Users can control the ANI-MOD matrix via control software installed in a computer. This requires connecting the RS-232 port on the back of the matrix chassis to a serial RS-232 port on the computer. To control the switcher, users need a Terminal Emulator such as

Hyper Terminal installed on the computer.

Connection of TCP/IP Port (Optional Function)

The TP port of ANI-MOD is used for TCP/IP control. Use of the TCP/IP control will be discussed later in this manual. The ANI-MOD chassis do not have a build-in webservers for control. The TCP/IP connection requires you either send comments manually or from a third-party controller.
