WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
Installing and servicing this equipment requires access to parts that may cause electric shock or other serious bodily injury. Do not install or service this equipment unless you are qualified.
Before servicing the tip or gun, and before disassembling the gun, always turn off the High Voltage
Power Supply, shut off the power source to the pump, and trigger the spray gun to relieve the fluid pressure.
Be sure your installation complies with National,
State, and Local codes for the installation of electrical apparatus in a class 1, Group D, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous location.
Installation
Assembling the Gun
Install the new adapter (2), retainer plate (G), and screw (F) on the bracket (J).
Insert the fluid hose (1) through the adapter (2) far enough to install the collar (3), fluid tube nuts (6 & 9), fitting (8), retainer (10), and ferrule (11). These parts must be slipped onto the fluid hose (1). See the parts drawing on page 3.
Insert the end of the fluid hose (1) into the gun barrel until it seats against the bottom of the inlet port. See the parts drawing on page 3. Hold the hose so that it is firmly seated, and slide the ferrule (11) and retainer (10) into the inlet port. Tighten the retainer (10) until the hex portion of the retainer contacts the gun barrel.
Screw the fitting (8) into the retainer (10) and tighten until the hex portion of the fitting contacts the hex portion of the retainer.
Disassembling the Gun
Loosen the connector (A) from the gun barrel and loosen the fluid tube nut (B). Remove the fluid tube
(C), nut (B), and collar (E). See Fig. 1.
CAUTION
Do not overtighten the fitting (8). Overtightening will break the fitting.
Remove the connector (A) from the gun barrel. Remove the ferrule if your gun has one. Remove the screw (F), retainer plate (G), and adapter (H) from the bracket (J). See Fig. 1.
C
Screw the nut (9) onto the fitting (8), and tighten.
Insert a screwdriver into the slot in the collar (3), and slide it over the ground shield layer (k) of the fluid hose (1). See Fig. 2. Screw the nut (6) onto the adapter (2), and tighten.
