Development phase operations
___________________________________________________________________________
2.1
Configuring the ADJUST function
This operation is compulsory each time the ADJUST software is installed or reinstalled.
After installation of the ADJUST software, the application must be defined (1 to 4) as well as the type of target dialogue machine (TSX CPM, CCX 77FP or PC compatible). Refer to the PL7-MMI 37 manual section 3.1 : Selecting the target machine.
After selection, the ADJUST function must be declared in PL7-MMI 37 and configured.
The files generated will then be transferred into the target machine (TSX PCM, CCX
77FP or PC compatible).
Declaring the ADJUST option
This operation enables the PL7-MMI 37 development software to recognize the
ADJUST function as a valid task. To do this :
• Scroll through the Utilities menu of the PL7-MMI 37 main screen and select the Add
Option heading, which lists the available options on the screen.
• Select the ADJUST option, which then appears in reverse video.
• Confirm the choice.
Configuring the ADJUST option
This operation generates the symbol database for subsequent transfer to the target machine and use by the ADJUST function. Only symbols with the DIAGPCM criterion are to be selected. To do this :
• Scroll through the Creation menu of the PL7-MMI 37 main screen and select the
CM Task Configuration Manager, which displays the screen below :
___________________________________________________________________________
28
Development phase operations 2
____________________________________________________________________________
• Select the ADJUST : Configuration heading and confirm the selection with the OK command. At the end of configuration, press OK and then exit the task configuration manager.
Creation and transfer of tables to the target machine
Before the ADJUST option can be used during operation, the new image for the operator dialogue application must be generated and loaded into the target machine memory
(cartridge for the TSX PCM module, hard disk for the CCX 77FP terminal or PC compatible). To do this :
• Scroll through the Generation menu of the PL7-MMI 37 main screen and select the
Table Creation heading.
• When the tables have been created, scroll through the Generation Menu again, choose the Task Selection heading and select the ADJUST task.
• Load the generated image into the module using the Transfer Menu.

Using the ADJUST function during operation
___________________________________________________________________________
3.1
Foreground execution of the ADJUST Function
The ADJUST function can be displayed in the foreground in four ways :
• Automatically when the module is powered up or when the application is executed.
However, the ADJUST task must be declared with the attribute F when the system is configured.
• From a graphic screen using the "FOR" function key with the ADJUST value.
• From the task manager screen by selecting the ADJUST task using the <F10> command. For this, the ADJUST task must be active.
• Using the DIAG (application diagnostics) or VISUDYN (dynamic program display) tools.
When the ADJUST function is displayed, the calling screen (i.e. the graphic or task manager screen or the DIAG or VISUDYN tools) can be recalled by pressing the <F3>
(Exit) key.
The ADJUST function screen and hence the generated list of objects are memorized.
_______________________________________________________________________
3.2
ADJUST function screen
This screen can be accessed when the ADJUST function is executed in the foreground.
It enables a list of up to 17 objects to be displayed in real time. If objects have been previously listed, the list is displayed when the ADJUST function is shifted to the foreground.
A number of commands are available for modifying displayed objects, i.e. blocking steps, modifying or forcing values, and changing the display base.
These commands are accessed either by :
• the Si key on the action bar or
• the key which corresponds to the character in capitals on the action bar menu.
Example : S1 = Selection : access by <S1> or <S> key.
Note
The OPERATION password must be known in order to access object modification. This is defined by the PL7-MMI 37 Generation menu or by the task manager screen <F6> key (refer to the
TXT DM PL7 M37 V52E documentation). The password is requested once in each foreground session.

1 The alarm flag or zone provides a real-time display of the last alarm generated by the ALARM task. If a slave device is being adjusted via the Uni-Telway bus, the zone is no longer refreshed.
2 The action bar zone is accessed by the <F10> command and displays the following pull-down menus :
[S1 = Select]
[S2 = Modif]
[S3 = Next]
This command has various functions depending in which field the cursor is positioned :
• If the cursor is in the VARIABLE field, the objects listed on the screen can be defined by selecting PL7 objects in a tree structure : selecting the type of the object and then its number.
• If the cursor is in the SYMBOL field, the symbols listed on the screen can be defined by selecting them from a list. The available symbols are given in alphabetic order.
This command has various functions depending in which field the cursor is positioned :
• If the cursor is in the VARIABLE field, another object can be entered by its address.
• If the cursor is in the SYMBOL field, another object can be entered by its symbol.
• If the cursor is in the BASE field, an object can be displayed in a database.
Inserts an object of the same type and with the next address into the list after the object pointed to by the cursor, e.g.:
W52 <S> or <S3> W53,
EVDGS5,ERROR <S> or <S3> EVDGS6,ERROR,
I2,3
O2,E
<S> or <S3> I2,4,
<S> or <S3> O2,F <S> or <S3> O2,F.

[S4 = Information] Displays the extended comment associated with the symbol of the object pointed to by the cursor. Or displays data on the FIPIO bus device if the object pointed to by the cursor is of a remote I/O type.
[S5 = mAnage] Activates a menu to manage the list of objects and the search for forced bits :
[Insert] Inserts a blank line below the line pointed to by the cursor. The command [Modify] provides access for entry on this line.
[Delete line] Clears the line pointed to by the cursor.
[deLete list] Clears the list displayed on the screen after confirmation by <F9>.
[Forced bits] activates the search menu to search for forced bits.
[S6 = Connection] When the target operator dialogue machne is linked to a Uni-Telway master station, this command is used to connect Uni-Telway slave devices on the bus :
• either via the integral Uni-Telway link,
• or via a TSX SCM 21 module.
If the target operator dialogue machine is linked to a FIPIO station, this command enables connection to devices on the FIPIO bus.
As the alarm zone is no longer refreshed after connection, the corresponding field shows no data.
To return to the initial station, activate the Connection command again.
3 Adjustment information.
4 Identification of the connected device by station name, PLC type and station address
(network/station).
5 The general function keys used by the ADJUST function are as follows :
<F3> Return to calling screen (graphic or task manager, DIAG or VISUDYN
<F5> tool).
Place the cursor at the top of the list.
<F6>
<F10>
Place the cursor at the bottom of the list.
Activate the action bar.
<Enter> Confirm the current operation.
<Esc> Abort the current operation.
6 State of the connected device : RUN, STOP, or MEM.
Note
Each action has an associated function key <Si>, available on the TSX CPX 27/37, TSX CCX 77FP.
These actions are accessed on a standard keyboard using <shift><Fi>.
The letter «F» displayed at the top left of the screen indicates that there is at least one forced bit
(I/O bit - local or remote - or internal bit).
