6 Installation Instructions

6. From the rear of the rack enclosure, insert a screw with teflon washer through the slide rail and tighten the screw to the rear mounting rail.

7. Secure the other side of the rack-shelf by repeating steps 3 to 6.

Installing the Tower-to-Rack Conversion Kit

Avid’s instructions for the Compaq Tower-to-Rack Conversion Kit includes information on the components that Avid has added, and excludes steps for Compaq components that are not used by Avid.

Avid systems must use the rack-shelf (see “Installing the Rack-Shelf” on page 4). These instructions have been specifically tailored for Avid systems.
