Digital Radio p By rotating the rotary encoder, you can also switch the preset service components.
p By rotating and holding the rotary encoder and then releasing it, you can also perform seek tuning.
Digital Radio tuner operations
For improved Digital Radio reception, make sure an optional
Digital Radio aerial with phantom power input (active type) is used.
Current consumption of Digital Radio aerial should be 100 mA or less.
For details on how to connect a Digital Radio aerial, refer to the installation manual.
Digital Radio (DAB) features the following:
High sound quality (nearly as high as for CDs, although it may be reduced in some cases in order to allow more services to be broadcast)
Interference-free reception
MFN support
When some ensembles support the same service component, switches to another ensemble that has better reception automatically.
Starting procedure
1 Display the AV source selection screen.
2 Touch [ Digital Radio ].
Listening to a recent broadcast
(time shift mode)
This product stores recent broadcasts to memory automatically.
You can pause or listen to the stored broadcasts again by using this function (time shift mode).
1 Touch .
Touch to resume the live broadcast.
p Stored broadcast is overwritten by the latest broadcast.
p If the duration that a selection is paused exceeds the length of the memory capacity, playback will resume from the beginning of the selection in memory.
Selecting a service component
You can select a service component.
p When you start to use this source, service list information is automatically updated.
p When there is any change in the current ensemble, service list information is automatically updated.
1 Touch .
2 Touch the category.
Service :
Displays all service components.
Program Type :
Searches from programme type information.
Ensemble :
Displays the ensemble list.
3 Touch the item.
If you touch [ Update Stations ], you can update the channel list.
Displaying the “DAB settings” screen
1 Display the “ System ” setting screen.

2 Touch [ AV Source Settings ].
3 Touch [ DAB Settings ].
Setting the Digital Radio aerial power supply
This function allows you to select whether to output power to a connected Digital Radio aerial.
The default setting is “ On ”.
p This setting is available when the source is turned off.
1 Display the “ DAB Settings ” screen.

2 Touch [ Antenna Power ] to switch “ On ” or
“ Off ”.
Setting the service follow
The default setting is “ On ”.
p This setting is available only when “ Digital Radio ” is selected as the source.
p Depending on the model used, this menu may not be displayed.
HARD LINK
When the tuner cannot get good reception, tunes to another ensemble that supports the same service component.
If no alternative service component can be found or reception remains poor, this function will automatically switch to an identical FM broadcast.
SOFT LINK
When HARD LINK is unsuccessful, tunes to another ensemble that supports the similar service component.
If no alternative service component can be found or reception remains poor, this function will automatically switch to a similar
FM broadcast.
p SOFT LINK function is available when “ Soft Link ” is “ On ”.

p Only available in areas where SOFT LINK function is supported.
p The broadcast content of the switched channel may differ from the content of the original channel.
1 Display the “ DAB Settings ” screen.

2 Touch [ Service Follow ] to switch “ On ” or “ Off ”.
Setting the Soft link
The default setting is “ Off ”.
p This setting is available only when “ Service Follow ” is set to
“ On ”.

p Depending on the model used, this menu may not be displayed.
1 Display the “ DAB Settings ” screen.

2 Touch [ Soft Link ] to switch “ On ” or “ Off ”.
Receiving traffic announcements (TA)
The traffic announcement can be received from the last selected frequency, interrupting the other sources.
The default setting is “ TA OFF ”.
