SNMP
The SNMP function allows users to adjust SNMP related settings.
Configuring the Modbus Gateway
To enable the SNMP function, select the Enable checkbox.
Community Name: This field specifies the read/write community string used for the SNMP Agent. This is a text password mechanism that is used to weakly authenticate queries to agents of managed network devices.
Contact: This is an optional free text field that can be used to specify the SNMP emergency contact name, telephone, or pager number.
Location: This is an optional free text field that can be used to specify the location for SNMP agents such as the
MGate.
