13 Backup

5. A confirmation window appears, showing information about the backup file you are about to create. Click Backup to confirm.

6. Select the format you would like to use to save the video file. Select AVI for compatibility with common video players. Select H264 for uncompressed video (requires Lorex video player software).

7. Click Apply to begin the backup.

Wait for the file to be saved before removing the USB flash drive from the system.

Viewing Backed Up Video

You can use VLC Media Player to view video files saved to AVI. VLC media player is a free, open-source software. You can download VLC media player from www.videolan.org

Note

VLC Media Player is not supported by Lorex.

To view video files saved to H264, you must install the Lorex Player software.
