Troubleshooting
Should any problem persist, contact your dealer.
Problem Cause
Power does not turn on.
z
The power cord may not be connected.
z
The <MAIN POWER> switch is turned off.
z
No electric supply is at the wall outlet.
z
The circuit breakers have tripped.
z
[LAMP1/LAMP2 indicator] or [TEMP indicator]is lit or flashes.
z
The lamp unit cover has not been securely installed.
z
The video signal input source may not be connected to a terminal properly.
z
The input selection setting may not be correct.
z
The [BRIGHTNESS] adjustment setting may be at the minimum setting.
No picture appears.
z
The input source which is connected to the projector may have a problem.
z
The [SHUTTER] function may be in use.
z
If the [Power indicator] flashes in red, consult your dealer.
z
The lens focus may not have been set correctly.
z
The projector may not be at the correct distance from the screen.
The picture is fuzzy.
The color is pale or grayish.
z
The lens may be dirty.
z
The projector may be tilted too much.
z
[COLOR] or [TINT] adjustment may be incorrect.
z
The input source which is connected to the projector may not be adjusted correctly.
z
RGB cable is damaged.
z
The batteries may be weak.
z
The batteries may not have been inserted correctly.
z
The remote control signal receptor on the projector may be obstructed.
z
The remote control unit may be out of the operation range.
The remote control does not operate.
On screen menu does not appear.
The control buttons of the projector do not operate.
The picture does not display correctly.
z
Strong light such as fluorescent shine onto the signal receptor.
z
[REMOTE CONTROLLER] of [CONTROL DEVICE SETUP] in
SECURITY menu is [DISABLE].
z
Is the remote 2 (REMOTE2 IN) terminal used for external control?
z
The remote control ID setting is incorrect.
z
ON SCREEN button on the remote control may have been pressed and cleared.

[CONTROL PANEL] of [CONTROL DEVICE SETUP] in SECURITY menu is [DISABLE].
z
Is the remote 2 (REMOTE2 IN) terminal used for external control?
z
[SYSTEM SELECTOR] may not have been set correctly. z
There may be a problem with the VCR or other signal source.
z
A signal which is not compatible with the projector is being input.

Troubleshooting
Problem
Picture from a computer does not appear.
Picture from a computer DVI-D graphic board does not appear.
Projection suddenly became darker.
Cause
z
The cable may be longer than the optional cable.
z
The external video output from a laptop computer may not be correct.
(You may be able to change the external output settings by pressing the
[Fn] + [F3] or [Fn] + [F10] keys simultaneously. The actual method varies depending on the type of computer; refer to the documentation provided with your computer for further details.) z
[DVI-D IN] setting in [DISPLAY OPTION] menu may be incorrect setting.
z
The graphic board driver of the computer needs to be updated to the latest version.
z
The computer may need to be restarted after switching [DVI-D IN] setting in [DISPLAY OPTION] menu of the projector correctly.
z
Has the filter been used up? (When the filter has been used up, the projector is not shut down but is automatically switched to a [LOW] lamp output mode using one lamp.)
