Definition of geometry at levels 3 and 4. XC, ZC profiles

Milling with or without tool radius compensation.

To select the type of compensation, place the cursor over this icon and press the twocolor key.

Without compensation.

With lefthand tool radius compensation.

With righthand tool radius compensation.

When changing the type of profile, the CNC changes the icon and shows the corresponding help screen.

Radius.

It indicates the outside radius of the part. Place the cursor over this data, key in the desired value and press [ENTER].

Spindle starting angle (W).

Indicates the initial angle of the spindle in C axis cycles. Position the cursor on this data, enter the desired value and press the [ENTER] key.

Total depth (Px).

The total depth of the thread is programmed with a positive value and in radius (ZC profile). To define that value, place the cursor on this data, key in the desired value and press [ENTER].

Penetrating feedrate (F).

Place the cursor over this data, key in the desired value and press [ENTER].

Safety distance.

In order to prevent collisions with the part, the CNC allows a part approach point to be set. The safety distance indicates the position of the approach point referred to the starting point.

To change one of these values, place the cursor on the corresponding data, key in the desired value and press [ENTER].

Finishing stock at the bottom (

z).

The finishing stock at the bottom may be defined when working with tool radius compensation. To define these residual stocks, place the cursor on the corresponding data, key in the desired value and press [ENTER].

Side stock (

) and number of passes (N) to remove it.
