Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself. Otherwise contact customer service. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself!

Problem

The device doesn’t start.

Potential cause/solution

• Is the On/Off switch set to the ON position?

• Is the plug properly connected with the socket?

• Is the socket defective? Try another socket.

• Check the fuse for your mains connection.

• Is the kettle on the base?

The On/Off switch does not lock into place.

The device deactivates before the water boils.

The device does not deactivate.

An unpleasant odour is produced during use.

• Is there no water or less than 0.3 l of water in the device?

• Has the lid been closed properly?

• Is the switch jammed?

• Are you using the device for the fi rst time? An odour often develops when using new devices for the fi rst time. The odour should disappear once you have used the device a few times.

• Did you just decalcify the kettle? Rinse it off with clean water.
