Data Editor

9.1 General

The data editor is accessed using e3 on the main editor screen. The data editor can be accessed on entering the mode, the objects displayed by default are those selected by the cursor in the program (contextual access).

The data editor offers the following debug help functions which are accessed from the sub-menu :

Data Editor Dat

• 0 Inf : Information (see Section 4.7)

• 1 Trf : Transfer of data tables

• 2 Cnv : Selection of the display base

• 3 Frc : Forcing (see Debug Function, Section 8)

• 4 Dat : Return to current adjustment screen

• 5 Dt1 : Creation/display of data table no. 1

• 6 Dt2 : Creation/display of data table no. 2

• 7 Dt3 : Creation/display of data table no. 3

• 8 Dt4 : Creation/display of data table no. 4

• 9 Clr : Re-initialization of the data tables

9.2 Principle for accessing objects to be adjusted

Whatever objects are to be adjusted, the same principle for accessing the object is used :

9.4 Display and modification of Boolean variables

I/O :

The upper part of the screen displays input state and the %I0.0 ......%I0.8

lower part of the screen displays output state :

• a white rectangle = state 0

Err=0 ...f.....

• a black rectangle = state 1

The center lines give information on each I/O :

• ! = fault on an I/O point

• f= forcing

..!...f..

When the Err bit is at 1, it indicates that either the PLC or the I/O extension is faulty.

The screen shows the active steps. These are indicated by "X". The 62 steps are displayed in the form of a table :

The screen to the right shows steps 0 to 29, with steps 1,

Creation and display of data tables (5 Dt1 through 8 Dt4)

The data table functions Dt1 through Dt4 are used to display the values of an application's variables. They can be used to create up to 4 lists of 16 variables of different types, as well as to modify the values associated with these variables. These variables are animated when the FTX117 terminal is online.

The lists can be stored in the terminal internal Flash memory or on the memory card (see

Section 9.10).

The data table functions can be accessed both when the terminal is online (TSX) and offline (FTX). When offline, it is also possible to allocate values to the variables, and these values will be assigned to the PLC program variables when the data tables are m567
