The electronic cam function controls the module outputs according to the position of the encoder installed on the machine. Several types of encoder can be used:
Incremental encoder with RS 422 / RS 485 line emitter outputs
Incremental encoder with Totem Pole outputs
SSI serial output absolute encoder
Parallel output absolute encoder. Use of this encoder requires a Telefast ABE-
7CPA11 interface which converts the parallel output signals to serial output signals.
The diagram below shows the various types of encoder which can be connected to the module.
