Batavia 7056831 is an effective means to protect your roof against moss and fungus. This roof cleansing tape is easy to install and only requires a few steps. The roof cleansing tape is an effective means to protection your roof
against moss and fungus. This manual belongs to the product. It contains important notes on handling the
roof cleansing tape.
Please read the safety instructions! These instructions will make it
easier for you to handle the device
appropriately and help prevent misunderstandings and possible damage or injury.
Please note the following safety
notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
• The roof cleansing tape has sharp
edges. Please always wear safety
gloves during this work and take
pre cautions against falling off the
roof.
• Do not process the moos stop at
temperatures below 15&deg;C and if
temperatures exceed 35&deg;C.
• Please use a second roof cleansing tape band on roofs with a
depth larger than 7 meters.
• For roofs made of reed, wood
shingle, cement asbestos or
other material a guarantee for a
proper functionality can not be
provided.
Mounting
1. Before you process the copper
roll, clean the roof tiles. Remove
dust, moss and other impurities
with a high pressure cleaner on a
25 cm wide stripe below the
ridge.
2. Make sure that the surface is
clean, dry and glue-able. The
surface material must not offer a
roll-off effect (Lotus or Nano
Effect).
3. A protective coating is required
for rain pipes made of zinc before
the roof cleansing tape tape can
be processed.
4. In any case it is important to perform a glue-test before fixing the
roof cleansing tape tape for the
first time. Remove a small part of
the protection film at the backside of the copper spool and
attach it to the cleaned roof tiles.
When you pull it off again you
should see threads. In this case
the surface is suitable for the roof
cleansing tape.

5. After a successful glue-test
remove a part of the protection
film at the backside of the copper
spool and push it 1 – 2 cm under
the ridge tile.

the roof tiles and firmly press
down the roll piece by piece in
order to affix it. It is important that
the adhesive layer sits firmly on
all parts of the surface. It is
recommened to use a seam roller
to firmly affix the glue to the tiles.
After some time the roof cleansing tape will prevent the growing
of new moss on the roof. And
previously existing moss can be
washed out. The effective period
of the roof cleansing tape
depends mostly on the affection
and on the amount of rain. We
suggest to clean the rain pipe
from time to time to avoid blockages caused by the separated
moss. You also could use an
appropriate cover for your rain
pipe.
