Chapter 3 - Settings

Setting Latitude and Longitude

Follow the instructions below if you wish to set your latitude and longitude data.

TIP: For your convenience, you can determine your approximate latitude and longitude using the Position Grids provided in

“Appendix D” on page 63

.

1. Connect a PC to the maintenance port, as described in

“Connecting a PC to the Maintenance Port” on page 19

.

Then type the following commands in the

HyperTerminal window.

2. Type

HALT

then press Enter.

3. Type the following

GPS

command then press Enter.

Your latitude (0-90)

S (South) or N (North)

Your longitude (0-180)

E (East) or W (West)

4. Type

ZAP

then press Enter to restart the antenna. Wait one minute for the antenna to initialize.
