Changing Linear Dimensions With the Mouse

You can reshape a linear dimension after it is drawn by double-clicking on it and dragging the appropriate vertex to new locations. Using this technique, you can change the location of the dimension line, the dimension label, and both dimension points.

To move the dimension line of a linear dimension

1 Double-click the dimension or right-click it and click Edit Vertices from the pop-up menu. Vertices appear over the dimension points.

2 Click the arrow-shaped vertex and drag it to the new location. A rubberband line shows the new position as you drag.
