Press the EXIT/STATUS button. PROGRAM WAS COM-

PLETED/PLEASE TURN OFF VCR FOR TIMER RECORDING should appear on the screen. (If PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED appears, begin again from step 1.) After five seconds, the onscreen display will disappear.

Press the POWER button to turn off the VCR. The VCR must be turned off for a timer recording to take place.

The TIMER light will appear on the display panel of the VCR when you turn off the VCR. The TIMER light and the Cassette-Inside light will flash if there is not a tape in the VCR.

The VCR must be off for a timer recording to take place!

Make sure a tape is in the VCR.

Helpful Hints

• To exit the VCR Plus+ programming system at any step, press the

EXIT/STATUS button.

• PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED/

CLASH may appear on-screen for five seconds at step 6 if the timer recording you programmed overlaps with another timer recording. Then, the timer recording menu will appear. To cancel the overlapping timer recording, follow the steps on page 37.
