OPENING AND CONFIGURING THE KFCOMM WORKBOOK TEMPLATE

a. Open the Spectrum Labs folder with shortcuts on the desktop, then select the KMPi

Data Collection shortcut link b. Click on the Start Menu and type in “KMPi Data Collection,” then click on the retrieved file c. Hit the Windows key on their keyboard and type in “KMPi Data Collection,” then click on the retrieved file

If asked, enable macros in KFComm workbook

After opening the template, an expected KMPi com port selection error will appear—this is normal, as the default COM port that KFComm will use is usually not the actual COM port the KMPi was read as by the computer

The About KMPi Control dialog will appear—press OK to confirm

The Pump Control window will load automatically

Navigate to Add-ins tab and open Configure Collection menu

From the Configure Collection menu, the user may a. Reopen the About KMPi Control dialog b. Retrieve KMPi Interface License dialog c. Use the Control button to retrieve the Pump Control window d. Check “Always Show Control” checkbox to enable KFComm to always load Control window e. Set Collection Intervals f. Use the “Find Comm” tool to automatically detect and select the KMPi port g. Open the Hardware settings menu to access Hardware, Auxiliary Pump, and Pressure

Alarms options h. Apply all changes

After selecting the proper KMPi port and applying the changes, the workbook template will start to blink and show live data retrieved from the KMPi and auxiliary components

10. The KMPi can now be controlled through the Pump Control and data can now be collected

11.3.2. Data Collection Tools

Data Collection Tools may be found in the “Add-ins” tab on the Excel ribbon. Different versions of Excel may also display graphical icons to represent the tools.
