Step 1: Switch the TG234 to Auto mode

1 On the back of your TG234, move the mode selector to AUTO.

If you don’t want to rely on the automatic mode selection mechanism, you can force the TG234 to access point mode by moving the mode selector to Access Point.

Step 2: Connect the TG234 to your Internet gateway

1 Connect one end of the Ethernet cable (this is the cable with the yellow connectors) to one of the yellow Ethernet ports on the back of your access point.

2 Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an Ethernet port of your Internet gateway.

The second Ethernet port will function as an additional Ethernet port of your Internet device. You could say that the

TG234 returns the Ethernet port that it has taken from the Internet gateway.

Step 3: Power on the TG234

1 Make sure that your Internet gateway is powered on and fully operational.

2 Plug the connector of the power supply adapter into the repeater’s power inlet port ( ).

3 Plug the adapter into a power outlet.

4 The Power LED instantly turns solid green. If this is not the case, check the connections that you made.

5 Wait until the Access Point LED turns solid green. This will take approximately two minutes.

If the Access Point LED is:

Blinking green, wait until the Access Point is solid green.

Off, make sure that the Ethernet cable is correctly connected on both sides. If that does not solve the problem, move the mode selector to Access Point and restart the TG234.
