3 Configuration tools

Bandwidth:

The bandwidth of the wireless connection. Normally it is auto selected, so do not change it unless your service provider instruct you to do so.

TX Rate:

The transmit rate of the connection. Selected Auto unless your service provider instruct you to select another value.

Beacon Interval (in ms):

For every beacon interval time the TG234 receives the beacon. The default value is 78.

DTIM Period:

The Delivery Traffic Indication Message (DTIM) includes some beacon frames. The DTIM period indicates how often

(how many beacon intervals) clients serviced by the access point should check for buffered data awaiting pickup on the access point. The default value is 3 (meaning three times the Beacon Interval).

Short GI:

Select to enable short Guard Interval (GI). The short GI, added in IEEE 802.11ac, can help to increase the data rate, however it may results in a higher packet error rate.

MAC Address Filtering:

MAC Address Filtering allows you to allow or block wireless devices to access to the TG234 wireless interface based on their MAC address.

Click the Config MAC Filter button to navigate to the MAC ADDRESS LIST page, where you can configure the

MAC address that you want to block. See

“3.1.5 The MAC address list” on page 27

for more information.

For more information about the wireless connections, see

“4 The TG234 wireless access point” on page 36

.
