Media (Menu 6)

To set the radio frequency, press the * key and use the keypad to enter the frequency of a known radio station. To tune the radio manually, press the # key; then press the

Scroll up key or the Scroll down key to search in increments of 0.5 MHz.

To adjust the volume, press the Scroll right key (louder) and the Scroll left key (softer).

Note: When an application using a GPRS connection is sending or receiving data, it may interfere with the radio.

Save a radio channel

You can save a preset station to any one of 20 locations in memory, and then tune to that station by pressing the Scroll up key or the Scroll down key with the radio on.

With the radio on, press and hold the Scroll up key or the Scroll down key to start the channel search.

Searching stops when a channel is found.

To save the channel, select Options > Save channel.

Enter a name for the channel and select OK.

Select an (empty) location to save the channel.

To save an FM station quickly to 1–9 memory locations, press and hold the corresponding number key while the radio is playing. Then, enter the name of the channel and select OK.

• VOICE RECORDER

You can make a short (up to one minute) recording and save it to the Recordings folder in the Gallery. You can also record your phone calls.

Make a recording

From the menus, select Media > Voice recorder.

To start the recording, select Record.

Hold the phone in the normal position near your ear and record your message.

To stop the recording, select Stop.

The recording is saved in the Recordings folder of the Gallery.

To replay the latest recording, select Replay last.

To send the latest recording as a multimedia message or by IR to a compatible phone, select Send.

Record a phone call

During a call, select Options > Record. To stop recording, select Stop.

The recording is saved in the Recordings folder of the Gallery.

Manage recordings

From the menus, select Media > Voice recorder > Recordings list.

Scroll to the Recordings folder and select Open.

Scroll to the desired recording and select Options and one of the following:

Open—Listen to the recording.

Delete—Delete the recording.

Rename—Enter a new name for the recording.

Set as ring tone—Use the recording as the phone ringing tone.

Details—View the name, size, date, time, length, format, and copyright status of the recording.

Sort—Sort the recordings in the folder by name, date, format, or size.
